She got it yesterday. It was full of great information, looks like they work hard to get the transfers up to speed and integrated into the community. The only question is housing as they mention that there is no absolutely guarantee of getting a dorm room. She's going to call about that on Monday to make sure that she is going to be on campus if she accepts.

entomom, congratulations to your D on her acceptances! I hope that she does end up in a dorm at Yale.

For tranfer results thread purposes:

My D was a top student in high school (4.3 gpa/34 ACT) who chose a small LAC (top 40). She changed her academic goals early on freshman year & decided to reapply to Vanderbilt, which she had turned down last year. She did cover her bases by finding a couple other schools she would enjoy attending, and she started applications at those schools. However, Vandy was her clear favorite & has an earlier notification date than the other schools. Once she found out that she was in at Vandy, she didn't see a need to complete her other apps ... so we'll never know whether or not she would have been accepted. :)

kelsmom,
Thanks! It's good to finally be finishing up the college application process, feels like it's been going on forever....oh wait, it has ;).

Congrats to your D too! Glad to hear she got early notification and was able to move on to other matters. Enjoy the summer and best to her at her new school!
