I know this sounds petty, but I'm feeling vindictive pleasure at Stanford's loss to Texas today.

Muahahahah... XD

I know this sounds petty, but I'm feeling vindictive pleasure at Stanford's loss to Texas today.

Muahahahah... XD

Gracieloos quote:

i LOVE their excuse for not sending a real letter.
to be environmentally conscious.

ahahahahahahh you have to love that. panzies.

$70 application fee, all those required documents, the required and specific postage, and they say they don't want to print a piece of paper for you to be environmntally conscious.

Amazing. End quote

You are SO right Gracieloos!!! That part of the "rejection e-mail" almost made it funny.

Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase: "Not worth the paper it's written on."

Stanford rejects aren't even worth a piece of paper, an envelope, and the required postage. What a hoot!

The person with a 2400 SAT and 8 APs with scores of 5s, plus leadership ECs, etc. just goes to show you the caliber of students rejected. Wear your Stanford rejection as a badge of honor rejectees! Stanford's loss is another campus's gain (mainly UC Berkeley if this forum is at all representative!).

Congratulations and good luck to everyone who was admitted to Stanford!

^ my friend got rejected with similar stats.
i think his friend circle (including me, whos waitlisted) will be loathing stanford for a while from now on.

rejected....dang it, stanford was my dream school! oh well, berkeley here i come

WHOOOO REJECTED. I LOVE MY LIFE. couldn't be any happier.

apathy, did you just get the email?

I'm totally expecting a rejection. And starting to loathe the school. Did they really say sending out rejections wasn't worth it? Omg. They can just...

can some1 post a rejection letter please... getting myself prepared.. lol.

edit
nvm. its on the first pages of thread.

reject as well .. wel go cal! :D..

rejected- stanford and duke. wow, I fail.

Rejected - oh well, not that unexpected. Hey, help me out everybody - I'm out of state and have been offered $20,000/year from Santa Clara - should I go there or pay full OOS costs at Berkeley (about $43,000/year)? Parents are not rich...

Santa Clara! why put your parents in such a financial bind? a good education is what you make of it (Santa Clara is a great school too)

Ahhhhhha Reject
:(

Not unexpected, but as the second rejection was pretty harsh - UChicago was the first and fatal blow. I nearly died from the shock.

And the nicest thing was an "alternate list" email from Swarthmore. The way they started the email, I thought I was in!

Looks like NYU CAS is waiting for me....

Hey is NYU or Grinnell better for a B.A.?

Rejection - going to Berkeley!

was the decision supposed to come out yesterday? didn't receive one till this morning.

rejection and waiting for monday

My D rejected, probably going to Wash U St Louis

giajale, I would say Grinnell is a better education, but I would rather be in NYC than Iowa.

Rejected by Duke, NYU and now Stanford. (in that order)
Still waiting on the ivies...

man...

Rejected!!! GO Beavers! or Fight On Trojans! We didn't want to go to Stanford anyways, we just don't realize this right now. :-)

Orange County'd

I'm into Wash U, Wake Forest, U Penn (likely letter), Pittsburgh (full ride)

Waitlisted at Duke and still waiting for Harvard and Yale.
