H/W/S on Top - check.
Kellogg not in the Top 3 - check.
Yale SOM in the Top 15 - check.

Columbia ranked too low.
Haas ranked a bit high.

Alex, what are your thoughts that USNWR has Dartmouth ranked no. 7? Particularly given your stance that rankings which have Tuck ranked highly should all but be dismissed - clearly it must be a pretty damn good program - otherwise how do you explain that nearly every single ranking has it ranked in the Top 10? ... i.e I don't quite understand why Tuck being ranked so high is such a "joke" to you.

When you say that you wished that Kellogg and UChic were ranked higher, does that mean you wish it were ranked in the Top 3? I mean at no. 5 there's not much more room for improvement.

Yes, I wish they were ranked in the top 3. I think the main reason why they're not ranked in the top 3 is because of name recognition, and USNWR seems to be big on that, as do some of the recruiters.

Hilarious. However, I think that people would move Stanford up on part with Wharton and HBS. There's a reason why they can easily go toe-to-toe with HBS and Wharton for cross admit numbers and it ain't because of the Palo Alto weather...

The first three points were just confirming that this newest ranking were in line with my assertions / positions / arguments / views (thus, the "check")

The last two points were just observations / my own opinion regarding this latest ranking... are we not allowed to have opinions anymore?

This USNWR ranking did not surprise me. It isn't any different from their past rankings. All the programs were within 2-3 spots from their usual ranking. I don't see much change taking place in teh USNWR rankings over the next year or two.

The way I see it, the USNWR is designed to rank MBA programs as academe sees fit. BW is designed to rank MBA programs as corporate America sees fit. Combined, those two rankings give a comprehensive view of the top MBA programs in the nation. With HBS, Kellogg and Wharton rounding up the top 3, closely followed by Chicago and Stanford and then Columbia, Haas, Michigan, MIT and Tuck. There is very little difference between those 10 MBA programs.

And I don't have a problem with Tuck being ranked among the top 10 MBA programs. I think Tuck, along with Haas, makes very solid argument for top 10 honors. I take exception to Tuck being ranked #1 or #2, but I definitely believe Tuck is a top 10 MBA program.
