Do you have University of Tulsa's ranking?

Tulsa is ranked 91 tied with Alabama, Missouri and Nebraska

In your original post, you listed Carleton at 5 and Middlebury at 6. In post 60, you have Carleton and Middlebury tied at 5. Which is it?

Public School Rankings?

Both Carleton and Middlebury are tied for 5th

So much for the advice, pick the highest ranked school on us news...(a very frequent poster on us news who attended one of the ivies)

Can you double check the ranks, overall scores, and PA scores for CalTech and Penn? Thanks!

This is pathetic. So many questions. Can't you guys just wait another day and a half?

I Have good reason to believe this is all a very elaborate Hoax. Why?

USNews publishes the rankings online on August 17th (friday).

HOWEVER, the MAGAZINE itself does not hit newsstands until the AUgust 27th issue--- which means it will appear August 20th (monday) per usual. THis means that USNews has not shipped yet.

But, there is an extremely easy way to verify this.

PLEASE POST A PICTURE/LINK A PICTURE LIKE LAST YEAR's LEAK. Thanks. There are way too many inconsistencies in the OP's posts to merit 100% validity.

OP. Please post a picture or email it to some users.

If these rankings are true.. I feel really bad that Tulane dropped so much.. it wouldn't have if it wasn't for Hurricane Katrina.

It could be a hoax.. I have my own set of 'US News 2008 rankings' myself with peer scores, SAT averages and everything.. it's just a lie, lol. However, these rankings aren't far from the truth..

Obviously, I'm pleased to see that Duke wouldn't have made a drop at all due to the lacrosse scandal..probably wouldn't anyway.. acceptance rate stayed the same and overall selectivity was around the same as it was for this year..

I really have way too much time on my hands..

We are 7th again...tied with Bowdoin again...SURPRISE! lol

We've had at least 3 "genuine" lists come out in the last few days from various sources.

Can someone tell me why we should believe this arseclown?

hey guys! this is not real! the earliest it comes out is the 17th!

Like I said---- Post a picture please.
It doesn't hit newsstands until Monday, August 20th.
It's available online August 17th.

^ check last year's thread. Barrons leaked it a couple days before too

^ Actually, it was calidan who leaked it--3 days before:

Ah okay. Nvm this is probably legit.

it just peeves me that for some reason Columbia manages to stagnate at #9 after raising $2.2billion, 8.9%admitrate-college (10% overall), 2 Nobel Prizes, #1 research rank in one year. ::sighs:: Next year?

dude, who cares if Columbia is #9 instead of 6th or 7th? Does it really make a big difference? It's still a freakin Ivy and well respected everywhere in the world. Don't stress over it.

Can you post national universities 50-70. I have a grand bet that a certain gap will get larger. I'd like to be able to break the bad news to him personally before he learns it on his own and has the chance to weep quietly.

BTW, I went to bribe my local Borders employees in Lincoln Park, and they told me for certain that the rankings would be in the store on Friday morning.

truazn, USNews is always a year behind on the admit data. That means that this year they should be using the admissions stats for the Class of 2010 (Fall 2006 admission). So Columbia's low admit rate won't show up this year (and when it does show up, they use the overall rate, not just the rate for the college).
