<p>I'm from norcal and I'm definitely not afraid to say that I'm biased.</p>
<p>My impression as far as prestige goes has always been UCB > UCLA > UCSD = UC Davis > UCSB > UCI > UCSC > UCR</p>
<p>From what I've observed, for socal people it's more like UCB = UCLA (I've seen a lot of socal residents making this argument) > UCSD > UCI = UCSB > UCD > UCSC > UCR.</p>
<p>/shrugs, at least it's fun to be biased. :D</p>
<p>P.S. as a norcal resident, I especially appreciate the strong school pride and spirit associated with UC Davis, more so than the science prowess of UCSD.</p>
