I turned in my appeal on 05/14 and still no update on myberkeley webpage. Anyone else having the same issue?

I turned in my appeal on 05/14 and still no update on myberkeley webpage. Anyone else having the same issue?

You turned yours in when? Not 05/14, surely. ?

I mailed mine in March 31st. They signed for it April 1st. MyBerkeleyApp changed April 3rd.
Still waiting on a decision. Has anyone heard a decision yet?

I sent mine on 4/15 and my berkeley webpage is still the same.

Normally they should answer on may 1st or later (quote fromtheir faq)

This is actually what it says once your status changes:
“Your appeal for admission has been received and is under review. Please check this site regularly for a reply. We will do our best to post a decision by Friday, May 01, 2009.”

“Decisions on appeals may not be issued until after May 1.”
They are warning you because they read appeals as they receive them. If you sent it on the last day imaginable, it might not be read until after May 1st.

Mine was postmarked 2nd April…received 6th…
Status change…i think 10th

YESSS!! So i know they recieved my package on 05/15. And it finally changed today!!

“Your appeal for admission has been received and is under review. Please check this site regularly for a reply. We will do our best to post a decision by Friday, May 01, 2009.”

My mistake! I mean april 15, and status changed on April 19.

Has anyone heard back yet?

Not I.

[10 char]

How do you all feel about your appeals? Did you take a more personal or objective route with them? What do you feel your major selling point is?

And good luck. Brayz, you posted at 11:11! Maybe it’s a good sign.

And reallyseeme, you have 69 posts as of now. ;D

I feel confident that I did all I could in my appeal. Don’t know if they’ll change their mind, but I do know I tried my best.

My appeal was more on the basis of “I’m a real dumba/s/s and didn’t include my extra curriculars.”
xD

Ha, I definitely noticed already.
Good for you! That’s how I feel as well.
…Including your extracurriculars might do a lot, I think!

I called the Office of Admissions yesterday and spoke to an officer. She was really nice, but ambiguous, of course. She said to pursue a Plan B and to expect appeal decisions to be released likely before May 15th and possibly before May 1st. She also said that appeals to impacted majors are also being considered. hth

Ah, well not anymore.
That’s good. Even though appeal acceptances are few, there’s still a chance. If you don’t try you won’t succeed anyway.
Heh. It may, it may not. But, if I’m rejected this time around, at least I know they evaluated me based on everything I’ve done.

So what did you include in your appeal? If you feel comfortable sharing.

EDIT: I don’t like impacted majors. D:<

Haha! I always pray on 11:11! Anyways, I hope it’s before May 1st. I hate this wait. And i applied to a super impacted major (engineering), so on my appeal, i asked to change majors. Did any of you guys get help from bridges?

And i applied to a super impacted major (engineering),

So did I

sigh

Wow!

Good luck to all of you appealing. Makes me think what Admissions is doing since transfer decisions come out on the 30th…o__O;;

got mines today. denied

hey,
i’ve been reading this thread and i see that brayz turned his in on the 4/15 and got his decision (denied) 4/24, I turned mine in 3/30 and my status still says in review, could this mean that they are considering me for admission since it is taking way longer for my decision to come out?

Don’t think so. Maybe they’re doing the appeals based on major. Also depending on the amount of new information you provided them.
