2009 Fall Transfer To NYU

I was the first one to bring it up, and I am applying for Stern
Doesnt mean only Stern tho

did anyone get a decision yet? from what I heard some decisions will be going out soon.

I heard that decisions were already sent out and are continuing to be sent out in the next several weeks.

bluewolverine- Where’d you hear that from?

I’m a freshman applying to stern, didn’t get a grade request yet, should I be worried?

I applied to CAS a few months ago and my girlfriend applied to Gallatin. We’re both waiting on a decision.

However, I have not been notified to send in any grade report, but my girlfriend has. Is this indicative of anything? She’s a bit worried about getting one, and I’m a bit worried about NOT getting one. So yeah, we’re both a bit confused. Do they send these based on the school you are applying to, your performance in the first semester, or what?

Also, I end classes and leave campus on Friday, so if they tell me to get grades and signatures from professors then it wouldn’t be possible. Are all the midterm grade requests sent already?

I´m so nervousssssssssssssss I just want the Yes or the NO nowwwww
Can´t wait anymore

ugh at least i just got into ucla, so now im not so worried at least i dont have to stay at my current school lol

I’m so nervous to find out. I hope they get back to us quickly with the decision.

it´s suppose to be from the 1 of may to the 15 rigth?
I´m also applaying to Columbia and Yale.
I missed my buckup school deadline “UCONN”
where else are you people applaying?

sweetpotato what were your stats? UCLA is a competitive school to get into especially if you are an out of state or international student. If you got into UCLA, I say most likely you have a great chance of getting into NYU. Which school are you going to choose if you get into NYU?

@ blue, im still waiting on nyu, columbia, and berkeley. now if i got into all of those, i would decide between columbia and nyu b/c i love ny i half-lived there (divorced parents) for about 6/7 years. i was born in LA, we moved to chicago, and my dad now lives BACK in LA (a place i also love) so that’s why i applied to berkeley and ucla. but yes, the new york schools definitely go above anywhere in cali. my stats are:

GPA: 3.782 (for right now, i am finishing up finals this semester so i dunno what it’s gonna change to…)
School: Vanderbilt University
Major: Women’s and Gender studies (usually called somethin’ different at a lot of schools, like gender studies or women’s studies, etc.)

sweetpotato in my opinion your stats look amazing and you have a great chance at all the schools you are applying to. i hope you get into all the schools you applied to. But, what are you going to major in if you get into NYU or Columbia? Are you going to continue studying Womens and Gender Studies or a different major? I only applied to NYU so I don’t have the choice to pick and choose like you do. I really hope I get into NYU its my dream school.

oh well NYU has a gender studies option so that’s what id do! :)

My GPA is good, but my SATS sucks, I´m very bad in taking test. Is it true schools are less caring about SAT?

hey sweetpotato, why would you need to choose between NYU and columbia ? i mean, columbia > nyu by far? better campus, better prestige, probably better opportunities ? right ? or am i wrong ?

id even go for UCLA over NYU, and thats from someone whose top choice is USC! trojans baby!

and btw, why do u wanna transfer out of vandy? no fun ?

oh yeah i mean ill have to think about it i dont wanna make a snap decision you know? id be shocked if i got into columbia tho i mean that’s much higher up than vandy.

but yeah vandy just doesn’t work socially, not my type of school i realized. outside of being gay and all that, the greek scene is just way to much of a focus and id rather be somewhere where i can be connected to the outside community (here its kinda like vandy vs. nashville). also its not diverse at all i find i run into the same type of people everyday…but overall i’m lucky enough to have a dad that can pay for my school so it doesn’t matter much where i go $-wise. i figured why not be happy somewhere i can fit in, right? but yeah without going into TOO much detail thats sort of a summary

Anyone hear yet?

probably still too early… last year the first people heard on the 28th.

according to the fb group, someone heard april 12…nursing though
