my school is in the “good-great” tier, despite the businessweek b-school ranking it somewhere in the mid-40s. grade deflation here is a large part of why we are ranked so low (that, and poor recruiting). of course, stern deflates, but its recruiting is incredible, and i’m used to working for my grade, so it would all be worth it.

No mail today

Southernbelle- Congratulations, stats?

capwoo - i got in and didn’t get asked for a midterm report. in fact, i just reread over one of my essays and it was cut off due to a word limit haha. it looks like they only care about grades.

I can attest to the fact that they don’t only care about grades :(

i don’t have my stats all written out. i’m at lsu, 3.8, good rec’s, double major in international studies/poli sci with a minor in spanish
i also didn’t get asked for a midterm report

What a strong candidate you are southernbelle12!! Double major and an extra minor! Wow

rejected from Berkeley
Southernbelle12: I thought that you couldn’t apply into the international studies major, you had to apply into the department of politics and then petition to be accepted international relations (because it is an honors-only subset of the politics dept).

Still peeved that my transcripts arrived 28 days late. I called admissions and to ask if this would effect admission, and said my school had offered to write a letter stating that they were at fault, but was told “not to worry about it, and either way a letter wouldn’t help.” I’m not sure if I actually shouldn’t worry or if they were just being evasive and not answering the question.

^i’m actually kinda scared now. from what i understand, decisions come out based on when your application file was complete (rather than when the app was submitted) and my high school transcript was somehow missing until about 2 weeks ago. then again, i can’t expect to have heard anything at this early stage…

it’s really unlike NYU to not send all the letters at the same time- if anything they could be broken up a bit by school, but whether you filed your application March 30th or May 1st shouldn’t affect when you get the letter. The same goes for the completion of your application- for the same reason.

Hey guys… I was luckily accepted to gallatin today

[Login | Facebook](http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/group.php?gid=74808928047&ref=nf)

Can somebody explain to me how to “try” to log in?
because I just got this ID that they gave me “randomly” the mail says,
but in order to log in, I need a password, and I only have the ID # what do I do?

you can try to get your net id by going to https://start2.nyu.edu/ibin/start0.cgi but apparently that’s not recommended (oops).

Man I´m scared! it says everything stay in record, wich can get me into trouble… you think?

i don’t think it has any major consequences.

But anyway is not 100% sure that if I get in I can log in rigth?
Whatever I´ll try it

if you can’t log in, it doesn’t necessarily mean you aren’t accepted. if you can log in, i’m pretty sure it means that you are accepted, but i’ve heard people say otherwise. who knows.

luena, si vas a intentar?

Nice Drew!!!

I’m starting to like my chances based off your stats…

Yahoo33, were you accepted to Gallatin?
