Nothing yet, decisions came out Thurs. May 15th last year. I received notification in early March they had everything they needed form me, but nothing since then. I would say early May this year - rather than Mid-May, but that’s pure conjecture at this point.

Thanks a bunch, autrefois. It means a lot to hear some support! Just as last year was, D is my big prize. I turned down some offers last year (waitlisted by D last year) for a chance to try for Dartmouth one last time this year. Just wait and see now.

I really wish everyone the best this year. This whole process is really a crap shoot - so many surprises involved.

for transfers do you have to submit the SAT I and SAT II with subject tests - I’ve only taken the ACT with writing. On the Dartmouth website it says it is required but I’m unsure because on the college board website it says SAT I/Subject tests or ACT with writing.

college kid, i only submitted sat I; i emailed them to ask if it was a waste of my money to apply without sat II and this was the response:

“You may apply without the SAT II Subject tests. We recommend that all applicants submit those, but your file will be considered complete and will be given full consideration in our review process without them.”

since you did act with writing, i assume you will be fine. you can always email them.

regarding the question of where coming from, i’m at berkeley city college (community college in berkeley, california)

Ilivefree, I remember a student last year getting in without taking any of the SAT/ACT scores at all, in fact, I don’t even think he/she graduated high school (GED - I think). I am not sure if he/she had special circumstances, but with that aside, he/she was certainly a qualified applicant. So Dartmouth will certainly give you full consideration without them.

I know I am extremely biased towards Dartmouth, but both years I have been extremely impressed with their efficiency in the admissions process. Just another reason to love this school…

I am from Ucla and I don’t know if the competitiveness of my school can be considered by Dartmouth admissions at all. My grades are pretty mediocre because I think my school is very competitive. I know Dartmouth’s admission is extraordinarily challenging, so I don’t have a lot of hope…
