Got it in the mail…74 CR, 75 M, 80 M. LOL. That’s a real dark mark on my self-perpetuated “math-nerd” persona.

^ Congratulations, monstor. (By the way, you stated Math twice.)

Did you mean writing for the first M or the second? In any case, I got the same as you for CR xD In any case, congrats!

Was the “comprises” question B? If so, I got a 78 on W

Hopefully 76 CR and 80 M for an unlikely total of 234 :D

stresing out.majorly
what if i end up getting below 214 (state cutoff score) or 200.
ugh,that would not be pretty…

Does anyone know whether semifinalist cutoff for NJ might drop this year? It was 221 last year. Any guesses? too much to hope for?
I got 215- 65 CR, 80M, 70W

^ It certainly might drop, but it definately won’t drop to 215 or lower.

Man new jersey’s a ******… I would have made the cutoff, but isn’t it astounding that a 222 constitutes the 99.95th percentile, and yet I would have just barely met national merit requirements there???

Where did you get that 99.95 from? It’s way off.

According to my calculations, 222 is between 99.49 and 99.57.

The following data that I have calculated may be interesting to those who want to know their percentiles in the ultra-high range and to those who want rough concordances to their comparable SAT scores:

Order: PSAT; PERCENTILE; CONCORDANCE; RARITY (One in…)

Thanks for that data Silverturtle. I have been interested in this. The biggest disconnect between the PSAT and SAT is the essay.

Silverturtle, can you calculate percentages in the high, not ultra high range? Like 202-198?

201 is 96.50. 202 would be around 96.65.

ahhhhhhhhhhh

216… must pray for NY 218 to go down 2 pts… which probably wont happen… is it possible though???

It’s possible… check for the previous years and the scores that were required back then. However, it’s unlikely a score will drop two points but there is data showing that Juniors aren’t doing as well as last year.

Do any Marylanders have scores. I’m not sure if my school is taking there time handing reports out

lol, just saw my sophmore psat (145) at least that made me feel a little better…

also where is the info that says cut offs might be lower… even if it doesn’t happen it can give me hope

bandgeek05

I got mine on Friday

145-216?!?!? Snorlax, thats a 71 point improvement! And I thought I was good by getting a 175 and hopefully making a 220+ (a 45 point improvement).
