I did not receive that. I don't think any early applicants received this(I know this happened with Santa Clara). If you don't mind, what were your stats?

I received this as well. As far as I can tell, it simply means that we are in the top 5% of either applicants or admitted students (can't remember which). I don't really know much else about what it means, though, so if anyone can tell me that would be great!

Were you EA? Also, did you receive Arrupe Scholarship with acceptance letter or did they come separately?

Hey I got accepted to LMU but did not receive any merit scholarship info. Does that come later?

My Daughter received letter indicating she was accepted with honors at entrance but there was no mention of scholarship. Hopefully it will come in a separate letter.

Curious801 ~ Your daughter will receive her scholarship offer in another mailing. They send the scholarships separately. With the stats she has she will likely be considered for the 'big money' if she applied before they made the scholarship decisions :) If they are doing things the way they did last year, they will contact select students re: Presidential Weekend (last year this was the end of Feb.) and invite them to the school to interview for either the Presidential Scholarship or the Trustee Scholarship. Best of luck!

Thanks so much for the feedback.

Are these merit scholarships based on academics only and not need?

^Yes, these scholarships are all merit-based, so they don't take financial need into consideration.

If I applied RD, do I still have a chance for some of these scholarships? Are my chances lower? Would i have been notified already?

I second the above question...

Yes, you still have a chance for these scholarships. Everyone has equal opportunity and you are notified about two weeks(varies from person to person) after your acceptance. I don't think it matters when you are accepted.

does anyone know if all of the invitations for the presidential weekend are out?
