2010-2011 College Basketball Discussion

I really think the Wildcats will make the NCAA if they play the way they did against Georgia Tech. That was a great performance, and if they keep it up and get some quality conference wins, they should be dancing in March.

As for Michigan State’s peformance against Duke…it was meh. I’m actually surprised that we were able to keep the game to 5 points considering the fact that our best 3 players didn’t really produce until the end…and the turnovers…ugh… But even if we did everything right, it still would have been tough to beat a great Duke team with a ridiculously talented player in Kyrie Irving.

Kill me now.

^The UCLA-Kansas game[/url”>http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/recap/_/id/303362305/ucla-bruins-vs-kansas-jayhawks]game?

Yes, that game seems like it was months ago.

ahh, that was better

^I’m starting to feel the same way about Michigan State. Seems that they were a bit overrated coming into the season. They haven’t won some games that they should, but hopefully they can get the W against Texas tonight

Are there any teams in college basketball right now whose offense doesn’t revolve around the uncontested 3 point shot? Every game I watch, both teams offenses pass the ball around the perimeter until the shot clock expires and a guy heaves up a garbage shot or one guy gets to shoot an open 3. Boring.

I guess I’m asking: are there any teams with dominant post scorers or dribble-drivers?

Kenneth Faried from Morehead St has put up some good numbers as far as post scorers (and rebounders) go. They’re not a particularly good team though.

size=-5

It sucks that they don’t let Kanter play.

Yeah, there should be more professionals in amateur basketball.

Josh Selby is a pioneer

Baylor seems to have a pretty good front court from what I’ve seen.

Congrats to Faisal Aden and to a lesser extent Klay Thompson for acting like total ******bags.

Oklahoma State Cowboy Fan here. Like the thread!

Texas is looking like a good team this year. :D

Go duke!

Though, it’s a pity about Kyrie’s foot…I hope he gets better soon! It would be pretty terrible if he was out for the whole season

Texas A&M is looking solid, ESP in what was supposed to be a rebuilding year
the last 2 games were sloppy though…hope we pick up our game in time for conference play

Looking forward to some good match-ups this weekend.

@mermaid123456 - That’s too bad about Kyrie’s foot. If he’s out for the whole season, it will be a big blow to the team, but they still have other great players, so we’ll see…

If someone other than Kemba Walker can step up and produce consistently this year UConn will be a force.

^I agree. I don’t think they’re balanced enough to go deep in the tourney, but they’ve had some quality wins this season.

Big ACC matchup tonight, would be a duke domination if kyrie was healthy though. Thoughts?
