… Already long ago, from when we sold our vote to no man, the People have abdicated our duties; for the People who once upon a time handed out military command, high civil office, legions — everything, now restrains itself and anxiously hopes for just two things: bread and circuses.

-Juvenal

Cincinnati is taking big east. No doubt (:

I want to see Florida. Brantley is a talented thrower. Be seeing the good ol Florida offense from here on, instead of that nonsense Tim Tebow offense.

Pryor for OSU has a lot of talent, but has shown very little. I think he will step up this year. And screw Michigan up the ding hole. I really hope Forcier had played for someone else, like ND maybe… :frowning: Screw Michigan. Want to like them, just don’t

I think Stanford will suck again. With Gerhart gone, it’s more pressure on Luck. I hope Oregon Ducks have a good season.

^ I’m hoping for an all out collapse this year at UM, and Rodriguez being fired by week 3 after consecutive loses to UConn and ND.

A few OOC games I’m really looking forward to this year.

Alabama V. Penn State - week 2
WVU V. LSU - week 4 (I will be traveling to LA for that game)
UConn V. Michigan - week 1
OSU V. Miami - week 2
Pitt V. Utah - week 1
Boise State V. Virgnia Tech - week 1

Pretty sweet, the season is gonna start off huge! Lot’s of great games in the first couple weeks of the season, lots of national championship implications.

It sucks that Forcier plays for Michigan. I like him, he’s a winner. It’s like watching a reputable guy like Tom Brady play for the Patriots. I hate it when that happens, because the poor guy will get slammed by red necks who place loyalty over sportsmanship.

**Alabama **V. Penn State - week 2
WVU V. **LSU **- week 4 (I will be traveling to LA for that game)
UConn V. **Michigan **- week 1
**OSU **V. Miami - week 2
**Pitt **V. Utah - week 1
Boise State V. Virgnia Tech - week 1

^^^
There’s a great slate of opening week games in addition to the ones listed above:
Purdue at ND (more like Purdoo)
LSU vs UNC _Chick-fil-a Kickoff Game)
Washington at BYU
Oregon State vs TCU (game is in the Jerrydome in Dallas)
Kansas State at UCLA
Cincy at Fresno State
Illinois vs Mizzou (I think it is in St. Louis at the Edwards Jones Dome)
Tulsa at ECU
Navy vs Maryland (I think it is at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore)

But I just can’t wait to see UConn beating up on Mieeeeeeeechigan in the Big House (I’ll watch on my laptop while I’m watching the ND game on TV). Too bad Rich Rod won’t be around much longer; I love how he’s running scUM into the ground.

ISU- Personally, I can’t stand Forcier. He’s cocky and arrogant as hell. He’s also been skipping offseason workouts and rumor has it that Denard Robinson has pulled away in the QB race at scUM.

http://ncaafootball.fanhouse.com/2010/08/17/tate-forcier-missing-his-wings-at-um/

That game at LSU should be amazing to attend, just don’t wear any WVU stuff if you’re a WVU fan. Tailgaiting at Death Valley is on my bucket list.

^ Yeah, I’m a WVU grad.

I have family in New Orleans who are LSU fans. They are warning me not to dress up in WVU grear. Kinda sucks, but I will just wear neutral clothing.

I hate when fans of visiting teams purposefully try and instigate the other fans, but it’s also stupid that home fans aren’t civilized enough not to shout and insult someone just because they have a jersey/sweatshirt of the opposing team on. I’ve seen people yell and swear and people who have their little kids with them, just because they have on the wrong jersey - complete idiots.

Since I played at school, I get information updates on all the tailgating activity at away games and stuff, so I usually wear WVU gear regardless of the location. But, this time is different. I will be going to the game with LSU fans, sitting with LSU fans in their own section, so it would probably I’d probably be more comfortable blending in and not sticking out.

It’s official. Texas at USC in 2017. USC at Texas in 2018.

Am I excited? I think I know where I’m gonna be in 2017 :)

huh. Well I don’t really care about his personal life. As long as he can make plays and lead the team without being a jackass, I like him. Terrelle Pryor was a huge punk in HS. But now that he’s at OSU, football really turned him around.

Alright fellas, it starts tonight…

As mentioned before, an awesome start to the season with some great games early on.

Pitt V. Utah tonight will be on my plasma tonight!

**** yes!
FSU all the way
Go NOLES!!!

Well ****

Our best offensive player is hurt and out likely until week 4 and our best defensive player is suspended for 2 games

We’ll still probably win them because we have the back ups but seriously ****

Well, Pitt V. Utah was the obvious game to watch tonight and as I suspected would happen, Pitt lost. However, that an “aweful” good game…I couldn’t tell which team wanted to lose more.

Well, bad start for Pitt. With Utah being unranked, this will obviously hurt Pitt’s ranking, and with them playing two cupcakes then heading into a game against Miami then ND, their season could be on a downward spiral.

Good for Utah, I’ve always liked their program. Last time these teams matched up Utah fisted Pitt in a major bowl game that Pitt got into after a 3-way split for the Big East.

Ohio State looked pretty good, pretty fast. SC will win, but they will under-achieve as usual, much like Pitt.

Great win tonight for Utah.

SC’s secondary looks TERRIBLE tonight vs. Hawaii. They’ll start 4-0 because they don’t play any real teams until they play U Dub in the first week of October and Stanford the following week. The better QB’s in the Pac 10 (Luck, Locker, Foles, Thomas) and Dayne Crist of ND are going to feast on their secondary. 7-5 can be very likely.

Ohio St looked good because they were playing Marshall. Wait until tOSU has to go to Kinnick and Camp Randall.

USC’s offense rolled tonight. Maybe it was just Hawaii’s horrible pass defense. But Matt Barkley certainly put on a show, 18/23 with 5 TDs (single game USC school record) in only 3 quarters of playing and basically scored at will.

The defense - it remains to be seen how good or bad they can be. 3 starters were sitting due to injury and thanks to Hawaii’s pass heavy offense USC had to play a 5 man secondary, which meant a true freshman started (and got victimized over and over).

If it really is lack of experience then the defense should get better as the season goes on, if it’s lack of depth it will only get worse.

UNC’s going to Atlanta without 15 starters tomorrow. This whole “scandal” is ridiculous and actually quite unfair to the team and the university as a whole. Suspending a player just because he used a tutor, without any proof of wrongdoing? How the hell else are athletes supposed to get work done?

^ The NCAA is ridiculous.

I’m not advocating “purchasing” recruites, but when you are imposing sanctions because a team has to many graduate assistance inside a team meeting, started practice 48 hours to early or investigating such stupid issues like whether or not a recruit went on a fishing trip, it really makes you wonder.

I’d love for BCS teams to break away from the NCAA, which would have happened if the whole mega-conference took place (still will).

And when something DOES happen, why does it take so long to give punishment? The whole Reggie Bush crap happened how many years ago? And they are just now imposing sanctions? On players who weren’t even their - how stupid!

rice texas tomorrow
yeaaa
beat texas

Penn State 44
YSU 14

Whoooooo 11!!!1!!!

I was on TV :)
