I know many of you expressed interest in this, so I emailed someone at UA’s OIRA and he updated it. This should include all of the relevant sections.

Interesting read…some numbers stood out as I read through this info on the 2010 - 2011 class…

Of the applications submitted, Bama only accepted roughly 51%…of the enrolled freshman, 52% had GPA’s of 3.5 or higher and almost 60% were in the top 25% of their high school rank…impressive…Bama is doing a great job recruiting in and out of state talent.

This caught my attention…42.5% of the enrolled frshman class for 10-11 is from out of state…again, a testament to the recruuiting effort of the school. Based on the number of out of state folks on this forum, and the stories of how well Bama has done recruiting our kids, I bet that the out of state % for our incoming class is close to 50%. We are so excited that our son is Bama Bound…!

Speaking of which, we will be at the BB session next week on 6/2 - 6/3…anyone else going to that session…?

Roll Tide.!

Also…thank you Atlanta68 for the info link…

D and I are attending the 5/31 - 6/1 BB.

Actually, the acceptance rate for last fall was 53.6%, but still down from the 57.4% acceptance rate for fall of 2009. Still, it is impressive, indeed. I noticed that UA actually accepted several hundred fewer students last fall than in the fall of 2009. Yet, the enrollment still grew by several hundred!

Wow…the acceptance rate dropped to 53.6%! That is amazing progress for a state school in such a short time!

thanks Atlanta for getting this link up!

I still would like UA to update the links that used to be in Factbook that included all the info about freshmen specifically and the Honors programs.
