<p>I think we need a “prescreen results” thread. MY D is going crazy waiting for her results from any of the schools.</p>
<p>BassBoyMom, there may be some historical info from the previous years that might prove helpful. The one main caveat is that timing, available openings, prescreen requirements can and do change (often dramatically) from year to year.</p>

<p>flute1298, if the OP does not object, you can request the mods to change this thread title to a more generic “2010-'11 Prescreenings” or similar title. Hit the report problem post button, and type the request in the dialog box. An alternative would to simply start a new thread with that title.</p>

<p>I’m extremely nervous. I applied for undergrad composition and have not received any sort of email yet… I hope I wasn’t completely ignored!</p>
<p>In the year my son applied to USC for undergrad composition there was no prescreening. There wasn’t even a mandatory interview with the faculty although occasionally they asked to meet with a student - many students don’t hear anything at all until the admission/rejection/deferral letter. For all I know, though, things have changed in the last two years. Students start to hear about admission from late January all the way through March.</p>
<p>Although my son is not a composer, I recall that there was basically no prescreening for composition last year either - in the sense that the composers sent their materials with their supplements, but they did not have to have to “audition” live.</p>
<p>This is my first post! Hello, everyone. The Frost School website said they were closed Monday the 27th, it also said pre-audition students would be notified in late December. By my calendar, that means we should hear in the next 4 days!</p>
<p>Learned Frost is sending out pre screen letters by post today. not sure if that is pass, no pass, or both.</p>

Passed for Jazz Trombone and Contemporary Voice!</p>
<p>D did not make it past the prescreen at USC Thornton, and got denied based on Contemporary Voice Audition at Belmont. We are starting to get nervous about her remaining auditions! </p>
<p>I am wondering if we should call Belmont to see about auditioning for another major other that Contemporary Vocals! She got accepted to the school, just not in Music Dept.</p>
<p>Also wondering if we should apply to any more schools - but seriously feel out of time and out of options!</p>
