2010 ACT test dates

Just happened to look at the ACT website and noticed that there is no September test in the US....

For those of you who have been around admissions awhile is this common? and can the October test be used for ED or is it too late?

I don’t think you read that right.

[ACT Registration : Test Dates in the U.S., U.S.Territories, and Canada](<a href=“ACT Registration | ACT Testing Dates | The ACT Test”>ACT Registration | ACT Testing Dates | The ACT Test)

Sept. 2009 test was available only in the U.S. (not territories, PR, or Canada)
Sept. 2010 test is same

Yale’s site specifically includes ACT October test for early admissions:
[Standardized Testing | Application to Yale College | Freshmen | Office of Undergraduate Admissions](http://www.yale.edu/admit/freshmen/application/testing.html)

You’ll need to research other colleges for their policies, although in my experience Yale’s policy is a common practice.

The September 2010 test date is not offered in the U.S. territories, Puerto Rico, or Canada

right from the website under the 2010 test dates…

Thank you for the link to Yale’s website…yes, we will research other colleges for their policies…

“Not offered in the U.S. Territories” refers to Guam, Virgin Islands, American Samoa, etc. – not states or DC. Hence it will be offered in the states and DC.

ahhhhh, I thought there was a comma after the US…don’t you think they just should have written it the same way it was written for 2009? weird; thank you for the clarification…
