one of the [a] questions

Ehh, I dunno, I think this year and last year were about the same level. I tend to find the AMC 12 extremely difficult once I get past about question 15. The AIME has more approachable problems throughout although for some I had no idea.

Expecting around a 7 I think. (Also last year’s score)

Does anyone have confirmed answers?

Ugh, it is unfortunate for me. I came to teh Compettive math scene very late, this is my first and last AIME. Only scored a 6 :(. :/

how do you know your score?

I have collected 12/15 most likely correct answers so far, but if anyone has answers that they are absolutely sure of, PM me. I’ll try to compile all 15 by the end of today.

after test collaboration…

Just a reminder, please not to post anything at all about the 2010 AIME I.

This includes not only answers to questions, but also difficulty, how you think you did, etc.

Sharing of answers via PM compromises the integrity of the test.

Some people have yet to take the test. Even in the same time zone, some people take AIME in the morning, others take it in the evening.
It would be unfair if someone were to take unscrupulous advantage and know the answers for the exam.

Thanks!

Thursday? That’s 24 hours after the AoPS unlock time O.o

Oh well. Hmm.

Lol is a 2 or 3 score even worth sending to universities. NU is my first choice and ED option and would the score look bad? Would it be better to just say I qualified for USAMO Semi-finalist round?

How’d you qualify for USAMO with a 2/3 AIME? I thought the selection index had always been in the ~210s…

Semifinalist dude. AIME is the semifinalist round. I woud NEVER make USAMO lol. Im good at math, but not that good.

I took it too. Someone should PM me the answers as well

Just took it. You’d think for a three hour test, I would do better. >.<

^ The stupid mistakes can kill a person

I think that I got an 8. Could someone PM me the answers?

anybody knows how to take the second AIME on March 31. I live in NJ.

You would need to arrange that with your math teacher/proctor.

:(
Lesson of the year: sqrt(4) does not equal 4
I was so close!!!

^ the true lesson of the year is x^(3x/4) does not equal x^x and x^3/4 lololol
