Is getting a 126 out of the max 180 on any Physics B CollegeBoard AP exam a safe bet for a 5?

I think so. When do we find out for sure?

Sagert, yes.

mid july i think.
july 1 if youre willing to call and pay

I thought it was pretty hard.
I actually felt that the multiple choice was a lot harder than the FRQ. I just wish they gave us a bit more time, though.

But, you know, you could get around 65% on the FRQs and MC and still get a 5. So even if you think you failed–well, by normal school standards, maybe you did. But by AP Physics B standards you could be looking at a 4.

I agree; I had to leave 9 MC blank. However, I thought the FR was really easy compared to released FRQs that I’ve done.

I think the difference between normal school standards and the tested FRQs is time. Our teacher basically gives us 90 minutes to do a couple tiny, small FRQs and conceptual questions. On the AP, you get 90 minutes to do 7 big ones. There is little/no time to check. If more time was given I know I would’ve spotted every single error I made. (sigh drew y-intercept at 0 on #2)

So we all agree that this test, overall, was harder than the others? Yay! Lower curve haha. I’m an realistic optimist. Don’t question it.

i thought it was pretty easy actually

I thought MC wasn’t too bad…

MAGNETISM 4% IS A LIE…more like 20% jeez it screwed me up…
I think i got 20/70 for FRQ …totally bombed it, unless the graders are gonna be extremely nice…but MC answered 61/70

Anyone have and Idea is 43MC right (18 wrong) +20 on FRQ=3
It would be terrible if i fail…one year wasted

I bombed the FRQ, I daydreamed most of the time away, and burned through a lot of it. I left a question blank and a few spots here and there blank. My MC I was more comfortable with. Answered 61ish/70, and I believe I got at least 45ish/70 right. Hopefully I pull out with a 3.

^
You are in the exact same position as me…anyway I need this 3 for the Ap Scholar…

Is it ok if we wrote in pencil on the FR?

should be fine. I used pencil

yes, you can use either pencil or black or blue pen on the physics frq. i used pencil

How do you fail the FRQ so badly? *at the 20/80 part.

Those first two questions were ultra easy, so that should have been almost 30 points there alone, even if you left all the rest blank. I ended up leaving #6 blank, because there was no way I was getting any points on it. And yeah, pencil is fine. It said so on the back of the answer document. =D

I thought pencil wasnt allowed :P

My parents just got a call from the school where I took the exam and they lost my FRQ answers, have my MCs. They are still looking, but told my parents they’d let me take it for free next year. What a L>* joke. I was planning on taking the C exam next year. What happened to my answers…

^ Aw, that really stinks…they should atleast let you take it the late testing date, that way you’ll still know the stuff and can move on next year.

I wish my school offered C, but it doesn’t. Ahhh well…
