2010 AP World History Results...

I haven't got mine in the mail, expecting a 3 lol. What did you guys get?

I got a 5!

I got a 4, I thought the MC was ridiculously easy, but I am a poor AP writer.

I got a 5 too! The MC was REALLY easy, I agree. The essays were a bit hard - but what do you expect? They expect you to write on some small part of world history, and none of the topics really appealed to me.

I got a 5…
Amazingly… haha
I pretty much left one FRQ blank… Which means I either destroyed my other essays (highly doubt it, I bombed all my FRQs) and/or my MC.

5! I can’t believe it, I self studied so I didn’t really have much material for the other two frqs, and I didn’t group on my DBQ. :DDDD But reading barrons twice, once the day before the test = GOD for the MC.

I got a 4, I thought the MC was easy, but for the essays I wrote 2 essays and a thesis for CCOT because I didn’t know much about it. I did a lot of practice tests too, but I didn’t do much practice for my essay writing…

I got a 4! It was my first ap test, and I’m not nearly a genius so I am very pleased! Yea the mc was easy for the most part, except for like 5 or 6 questions that were practically impossible, haha. I felt my frq’s were only ok, I hit everything but none of them out of the park, so I am happy!

That’s great! I thought the same thing about the MC. I didn’t know one of the FRQ’s and totally BSed that essay.

ughhh still waiting on mine in New York!! When i took it, i thought i got at least a 4 but now waiting is Soo nerve-racking now i mightve done poorer…

Hey, how did you guys study/what review book did you use?

I used Princeton Review^

I also used PR. It was my first test, and a 4 as a sophomore seems pretty good. The essays weren’t exactly hard, but I am just not so good at writing AP essays. I thought the DBQ wasn’t bad, but kind of grasped on the other ones. I think my CCOT was good, though.

It is my second AP. I’m going to be a junior too. I got a 3 on Human Geo and who knows what to expect this time around? LOL!

I got a 5.

It was also my first AP and I had a lousy teacher so a 5 was pretty exciting.

I used Barron’s but I do not recommend it. It is too detailed. I looked at a friend’s PR and it was very clear and to the point and it used informal writing which helped me retain more information!

I got a 5! I expected it, but it still nice cuz it’s my first AP.
I thought the MC was easy as well, I probably got 5-7ish wrong.
The DBQ I beasted through. My gawd, it was amazing (did anyone else mention the Meiji Restoration in Japan and British Imperialism in India?).
For the continuity and change over time I did the Latin America/Caribbean one, and I wrote incredibly fast and finished it in a matter of 20 minutes. It was pretty good, but I expected only a 6-7, but there was a possibility for higher because I did analyze pretty well.
The compare and contrast I did the worst on. I did Han China and Rome, but I honestly didn’t remember much on them. In the end I had two concrete examples for each and I had to BS one more for each. And I didn’t analyze to much (how could I?) so I thought I got like a 4.

So yeah, that was fun.

Hey, I got a 4, which I am pretty happy about, I bet I was on the borderline of a 4 and 5, but a 4 is great!

I was wondering if UC Berkeley typically accepts the credit from a 4 on an AP World exam?

Any info?

Shimbo, YES! The DBQ was AMAZING. I loved it. For the CCOT I did the African Religions one and I happen to love learning about Africa and just read Heart of Darkness and Things Fall Apart before the exam. Things Fall Apart is all about the change in religion in Africa so I mentioned that. So those two were a win. My Han/Roman one failed. I wrote barely anything and BS’ed it. But I got a 5!!!

My brother took Form B; he refuses to call.
