David Geffen was working for, I think it was, The William Morris Agency in the mailroom, and HR sent in request from UCLA to verify his having graduated from there.

Having worked in teh convenient place, he hihacked the (non) confirmation letter from UCLA, and HR never got notice of his not having graduated. And the rest is history with his impact in the music industry.

Mailroom is a place btw, usually studios, where film grads from USC, etc, try to receive their first break, so it’s not to be discounted or laughed at.

“I like Illinois’ list along with Michigan’s and Marylands because of Oracle’s Ellison, and the two from Google, but I’m sure the latter two attribute their success to Stanford Grad.”

How can you be so sure?

Actually, Larry Paige owes it all to the Okemos Montessori School in Okemos Michigan.

tk21729, meet rjkofnovi…

I would have guessed they were involved in Stanford’s Incubator, but I could be wrong.

Correction:

“HR sent in a request to UCLA…” among other mistakes in my posts…

So, whose fortunes have been eradicated recently?;)

tk21769, so you are saying that until recently U of Chicago had an enrollment of about 2,000 undergraduates?

Because, until the last few years, Princeton was in the 4,400 undergraduate student range.

are you sure about this?

latest undergraduate enrollment:
5,220 - Princeton
4,299 - MIT
5,238 - UofChicago

In favor for the MIT argument, you all forgot Tony Stark. So that’s 9.

Also, in favor for Princeton, you forgot Bruce Wayne :)

And Lex Luthor…sounds like the kind of guy who went to Duke ;p
