I have everything done except for my letter of support, certifications, and transcripts. Trying to get as much done as possible before school starts next month.

Also, does anyone know what they mean by a "legend" for your transcripts? Do they just want what classes you took, or which ones were weighted, or what your grading scale is? I'd appreciate any help on this.

Good luck to everyone! Let the 2009-2010 scholarship contests commence! :D

Is there no New York Scholarship Program for 2010? I see that there were specific winners for 2009, but no link for 2010.

Also, if selected as a national recipient, the scholar conference conflicts with 2 days of an overseas class trip (which will cost me over $2500). Do you think they would understand this and only have me go the days it doesn’t conflict?

Do we just check the Horatio Alger website for the list of winners? I noticed it has 2009 recipients and was wondering if anyone knows if we should just be checking to see when that says 2010 or is there another site to go to for a list of winners?

I have a dilemma. If chosen as a national winner, I understand that I would have to attend a conference in Washington DC in April. BUT the two days of it conflicts with a class trip overseas that I am going on that I paid for myself. Do you think they would understand this let me go once I return to the US?

The trip has been planned for almost a year, and I worked much too hard for the money to let it go to waste. Yet, at the same time I need the $20k for college.
