<p>biodude:</p>
<p>what program did you apply to at JHU?</p>
<p>i’m gonna guess…neuroscience</p>
<p>I completed my application to Mt Sinai on Nov 25. Interview date is 1/11 - 1/12.</p>
<p>Nope, not neuroscience hahah. CMDB program at JHU.</p>
<p>Received interview invitation for Princeton’s Neuroscience PhD program today via email.</p>
<p>lol, that’s refreshing. if i were a betting man, which i am, i would bet there will be a glut of grad students seeking neuro-related postdoc positions in about 5-7 years…</p>
<p>Yea, I would agree with that Molsysbio. I won’t be one of them! I’ll be jobless in another field lol.</p>
<p>@RIO2016,</p>
<p>Thanks a lot for your suggestion, though I don’t think I can get visa and stuff in time now I would love to go for in person interviews…ah well, hope it doesn’t affect my chances that much…unfortunately if I get any other interview it will be same situation… :((</p>
<p>For other international students who going for in-person GSK interviews, are you all in US currently?? </p>
<p>Thanks!</p>
<p>anybody interested in microbiology?! Virology??? Only neuro…</p>
<p>I’m interested in virology!</p>
<p>I guess that makes two of us,hehehe :)</p>
<p>Sweet, where did you apply?</p>
<p>Has anyone heard anything from Brown (neuro)?</p>
<p>Congrats, neurograd1! Do you mind posting your stats?</p>
<p>I guess the correct question would be: where I did not apply.
There are two different situations. I was granted a scholarship, and for that, IIE applied for 5 universities (I had to write a project, and the scholarship can only be “used” to these 5 Us - three of them my suggestion - UNC Chapel Hill, U Mich - Ann Arbor, Louisana State University) and 2 of them IIE picked - Kansas State and U. of Nebraska at Lincoln). I guess they chose that because of my background formation.
The 13!!! Us I applied directly are: Northwestern IGP; Duke, Emory, U. Maryland Baltimore, MSU, Princeton, Weill Cornell, UT Austin, UT Southwestern and Baylor College of Medicine, U. Illinois at Chicago, Virginia Tech and U. Florida - Gainesville.
hahaha, tired already?! I was, not to mention totally broke.</p>
<p>By the way, what about you biodude, where did you apply?</p>
