Just a random reminder if you’re applying for a not-yet-due program.

oh, well i applied through HILs. i thought those were all due on december 8th or whatever. guess this was just a useless mass email.

I just got the invite from Tufts Molecular Microbiology! Unfortunately, it conflicts with U Chicago. Hopefully, I can find an alternative.

Rejections: none yet…

The Harvard Program in Neuroscience and the Harvard BBS program are not the same – PIN is not a track in BBS. The programs have separate admissions procedures (PIN interviews, while BBS does not).

My guess is that PIN is able to get at least some of its files early from GSAS/HILS because there are relatively few applicants to PIN compared with BBS and MCB.

I just got an interview invite to Tufts ISP program. Interview dates are Jan 22 or Feb 12.

Got an interview from University of Washington MCB on Monday.

Interviews:
UCSD Biomedical Sciences
UW MCB
UCSC MCDB

Haven’t heard:
UCSF Tetrad
Berkeley MCB (getting nervous about this one…)
Colorado MCDB

I got a interview invite to Yale BBS (Dec. 23)–one of admission commitee member sent inviting e-mail to me. However, after that I didn’t get any official invitation e-mail from Yale. So, I cannot be sure that I received interview offer…T_T

In the case of UM, I got an official interview invitation e-mail from university after unofficial interview offer from admission commitee professor…

So…you guys…who had received interview invitation from Yale…did you get an official e-mail???

no official e-mail from Yale…I was thinking they’d send that after break…ie Jan 4th. I was a little worried about it too, but it seems like no one has received one yet

I got the phone call from Yale and when they offered, I asked them for an email as well and the lady emailed me immediately after hanging up the phone to verify the invitation for the interview.

Which BBS track are you referring to?

MCGD track

I applied to the MCGD track as well

Oh, awesome. I guess I will be seeing you in New Haven in February!

yea, im really excited…california doesnt have much snow

But you guys have some good surf and beaches, which I’m particularly jealous of!

not in the bay area…and certainly not now…that’s socal, which is pretty darn cold now too. at least by california standards ;)

anyone know if berkeley neuroscience has sent out interviews?

@cal2010: you go to cal?

yea. for undergrad. didn’t apply for graduate school

Oh, good call pentaligin

@cal2010 cool me too. major?

If anyone is waiting to hear from UCSF Neuroscience, their committee does not meet until after the break and interview weekends are Feb. 12-13 and March 5-6 (if this has already been posted, sorry). They’ll notify about interviews 2nd or 3rd week in January. The program administrator there is unbelievably nice.
