**2010** Official RD Decision Thread

WAITLISTED

very shocked…
i thought it’d be pretty easy to get in…

this is when I seriously begin to question my application

I’m probably the highest SAT to not have been accepted into any top schools yet. seems like everyone else has gotten into at least one, whether it be MIT or stanford or now, duke. sigh. there must be some flaw in my app…I think my why duke essay wasnt spectacular, but I think it was still strong

so it seems as if 5:35 was the time stamp of death and 1:16 was a good/semi-good marker!

Anybody who ever built an empire, or changed the world, sat where you are now. And it’s because they sat there that they were able to do it.

considering thats what everyone else is saying, there’s probably some flaw in my recs, or some mistake in my transcript that I cant see or share with you all. im very paranoid+ have no confidence now :frowning:

thanks for trying to cheer me up, but I dont think thats true. I was willing to believe that with UVA, but not for duke. duke is top notch, fairly low acceptance rate. they dont need to do that.

Look, I gotta admit that I am a little surprised about your Duke decision. While its a competitive school, you were clearly qualified (over qualified?) for it. Honestly, it looks like you have just experienced a comedy of flukes. I promise you I will eat this computer if you dont get into an ivy (top ivy? =D) on the first.
