<p>The Jackie Robinson Foundation provides a multifaceted experience designed to not only address the financial needs of minority students who aspire to attend college but also to guide them through the process of higher education, molding them into dynamic leaders with a commitment to public service and Jackie Robinson's humanitarian ideals</p>
<p>JRF awards students fouryear scholarships of up to $7,500 per year to attend the fouryear accredited college or university of their choice. Scholars are also financially sponsored to attend our annual four day Scholar's Mentoring and Leadership Conference in New York City every spring during each of their college years.</p>
<p>Corporate partners provide and assist Scholars with summer internship placement and permanent employment, offering valuable career development opportunities. </p>
<p>The Foundation provides workshops during the annual scholars' weekend which focus on enhancing leadership skills including: conflict management, business etiquette and public speaking and secures internships to enhance Scholars' leadership development.</p>
<p>JRF Scholars are required to participate in community service as part of their scholarship.</p>
<p>To be eligible for a Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship, an applicant must:
Be a graduating, minority high school senior;
Plan to attend an accredited and approved fouryear institution within the United States;
Show leadership potential;
Demonstrate a dedication to community service;
Present evidence of financial need;
Be a United States citizen;
A minimum SAT score of 1,000 combined on the math and critical reading sections or a composite ACT score of 22; and
Not possess a degree from a 2 or 4year College when applying for the scholarship.</p>
<p>Timeline for 2011-2012 Application Process
March 30, 2012, 5pm (ET) - Application Due
April 30, 2012 - Notification of application status via email
May 1 May 31, 2012 - Second Round, Regional Interviews
June 15, 2012 - Final Selections Announced</p>
