rejected. top choice. oh well…one left to hear from. out of 11. not accepted anywhere.

We hope the best for you and are rooting for that last one! Best of luck to everyone!

@tinydancer24: I am really sorry to hear about your misfortune thus far. Chin up. It only takes one. I am rooting for success with the one still pending!

thanks this process is ridiculous.

Unfortunately this process is sort of a microcosm of the real world. My eldest son is in MT and he has been auditioning for jobs in New York and you go and you wait and you have your few moments (even less time than at the schools) and you only hear back if the want you. Also, my wife was a commercial actress. The year we were married she went out on 125 auditions, got 12 callbacks, landed one job, and then got bounced from that job when she give birth to our son three weeks early (they wanted a real pregnant woman)!!!

This industry is all about being able to accept rejection. Pick yourself back up off the floor. Dust yourself off. And then throw yourself in front of the bus all over again!

LOL!! Personally, I have a ton of respect for all of you. You should be VERY proud that you have come this far. Do not give up on your dreams. You only go through this life once. Go for it!!

ACCEPTED TO BOCO! does anyone know if scholarships are posted online or are they waiting to send all that stuff in the mail.

In my son’s case scholarship information was included in the body of the acceptance letter. I believe in the second paragraph.

My son got email notification of acceptance today.

My D got accepted yesterday!! She is so excited!! Looks like she’s Boston bound!! Hooray!! :)

son was accepted!!! whoo whoo

can anyone provide insight into the general range of merit scholarship money boco offers; a not so out of date guide to colleges i have at home suggests a seat of the pants range a couple of years ago was $5K to $32K. not seeking personal data just ballpark info for school as a whole.

For a Girl 5K - 10K (usually max)

For a Boy 10K to 15K (generally) all they way up to full ride.

Good luck. I hope this helps.

If you have been accepted and either didn’t get a grant or didn’t get enough of a grant to allow you to attend, the student should call the financial aid office and ask for more money. they may be able to bump up the offer a bit. It works better if the kid does it.

congratz everyone!! I got rejected unfortunately
To everyone who was rejected, keep doing what you do. For me, a rejection only makes me want and try to be better.

So I’m guessing that if it didn’t say anything about scholarship on the online status, then I didn’t get any scholarship? Or will it be in the actual letter they send? It is so expensive, but I love the school.

Back when it was our turn, the letter and the email said there was no scholarship offered at this time. Then I called and begged for some money and got it, but just for the first year.

Girls can get up to $15,000

We had the same experience as Skwidjymom. My daughter called and begged for money. She was offered $5000, the amount suggested above. She chose not to attend but I would encourage at least calling and asking.

My estimated range of 5K - 10K for girls is pretty much for 99% of the admitted students. Has more been offered in the past? Yes. I am sure there have been exceptions.

One girl received close to a full ride in her junior and senior year. But she was a minority and qualified for several government grants.

I’m finding this thread unsettling setting since we’re paying/with loans 100% (LOL) I did ask for money last year because of what I read on CC and their response was they would put our family’s name on the list. Then the the Dir. of Admissions left, etc… My feeling is that if the college wants students to attend and STAY for 4 yrs. they should help them and give the scholarship money up front without having to “beg”. A couple of kids are transferring this year. From what I hear, mostly guys got the scholarships in MT and they are fabulous.
