<p>I thought I would start this thread, seeing as how last year’s applicants did as well. Once decisions start coming in, we can post here with the hopefully good news. So, who applied?</p>

<p>Hi everyone! I’ve been looking through CC for ages but I just made an account to let you guys know that I got my acceptance! It just came in a regular envelope with the letter of admission (I’m going in September), a purple sheet with the program, and a travel permission form.</p>
<p>It was postmarked on the 25th, and I’m in Texas so hopefully you all will get the decisions soon. Good luck!</p>

<p>I applied for October from Washington. But I only sent my application in on Tuesday, so I don’t anticipate receiving anything for awhile…</p>
<p>My friend on the other, received a rejection that said Amherst favors students who have never visited, and do not possess the financial means to visit…i think that fee waiver question was pretty decisive >_<</p>

<p>As for my application, I think I sent it on August 12th (or around then) via snail mail. I didn’t get my confirmation email till the 22nd, I think.</p>
<p>I sent my application by snail mail around July 28. I never received a confirmation. Should I be concerned?</p>
<p>I would probably shoot them an e-mail or call them. I sent mine out on August 1 and received confirmation on August 12.</p>

<p>I just received an acceptance via snail mail. I sent in my application around the 15th. From New York here !</p>

<p>How did you guys receive it already? My confirmation was on the 12th, but I havent received any rejection or acceptance yet…</p>
<p>My confirmation email came 7 days ago. I’m guessing they send out decisions to those who applied to the September date first.</p>
<p>I got into the September one. I will be late though because I have a football game. It sounds pretty fun</p>

<p>Daughter also received a rejection letter that said Amherst favors students who have never visited, and do not possess the financial means to visit. Kind of aggravating since I am sure Amherst sent her an invitation to apply because of information she provided during our visit. Why send invitations to those that have visited only to then say that the visit excludes them from further consideration? I now feel that my daughter wasted her time applying to this program and it is now less likely that she will be applying to Amherst, even though they have offered to waive the application fee.</p>
<p>To those who’ve already gotten their acceptances- did you qualify for the fee waiver?! The way it sounds like on here is that if you didn’t, that almost auto-excludes your chances…</p>
