Hey everyone, I didn’t see a thread made for Human Geography yet, so I figured I would make one. The exam is Friday and I, like many of you, self-studied for this exam. So what are you guys cramming in these last couple days leading up to the exam? Any predictions for the free response questions? Feel free to post any questions you may have or any study materials such as practice tests that you feel may be helpful!

I’m actually taking this course in school but my teacher hasn’t really covered the material that well so it’s essentially been a self study for me… Of all my AP tests I’m most worried about this one because it seems every year they give some super random FRQ. I know at least one of the four free responses is going to be incredibly difficult. I’m looking over flashcards, going through Barrons study guide book to review and taking practice tests to review. What are you doing?

^^ There’s only 3 FRQs. Anyways, I’m a self-study so I’m using PR and Barrons Flashcards and Rubenstein book for specifics if I need it. I’m hoping to get at least a 4.

i am also using barron’s and PR for the self-study. i feel like barron’s defines the terms the best and PR supplements it with better examples so i think its a good study method.

I still haven’t really started self-studying for this. I took a practice test in PR yesterday before really doing anything in the book and got only 10 wrong, so I think MC should be fine. What topics should I study for the frq?

I’m self studying…starting on Thursday (:
Using barrons.

Oh oops I got it confused with another exam I’m taking. Three FRQ’s, my bad lol. One of my study guide books says most people only get 1/3 of the points on the FRQ’s. I think this will give us a pretty lenient curve so if you get most of the points you should be fine. I’m hoping for a 5.

it seems like the curve on this exam is the most lenient of all of them so 5’s should not be too hard to come by.

I just took a practice test & I got 56/75. How many questions right should I shoot for to get a 5? That score seems like a solid 3 to me.

here are rubrics for two released exams. if you could get that same percentage on the FRQs that would be a 5

also, if anyone has either of the released exams to trade, that would be awesome!

Tomorrow’s the big day! Good luck everyone.

hey does anyone have any decent review guides or cram sheets?

If so can you pm me?

Thanks + good luck on human!

I’m not worried about the FRQs, they seem fairly intuitive and straight-forward to me. The MC on the other hand throws random vocabulary at you constantly, which I seemed to get bogged down in.
