Shermani- for 2c, you should have drawn the proportions of both Party A and Party B the same for both male and female. Since gender and party were dependent in the first county, an independent gender/party in the other county would make it where no matter what gender you are, the probability of you being in Party A or Party B is the same. So the lines should have been drawn the same for each gender.

^when you guys say the “same for each gender” what do you mean? we were supposed to exactly copy the original segmented bar graph?

@ anotherindiankid: No. Remember from part b, we concluded that party and gender were independent. So think of it this way: your gender has no effect on your party affiliation. Therefore, you simply calculated the probability of each party and transfered it to the segmented bar graph. But, since the two are independent, this graph is the same for both males and females.

ALSO GUYS, my teacher knew someone who graded the AP tests, and if you correctly state that conditions are not met and do NOT proceed, you still get a 4/4 for that question as long as you adequately explain your logic.

Didn’t we conclude party and gender were not independent in part b?

Oh yes, I’m so sorry. Part (c) specified that it was a different town, in which gender and party were indeed independent.

Hi i know ap stat exam is over and all that, but i need help with my ap stat class assignment.

For my AP Statistics project, i need to conduct a sample survey.
I wanted to find the correlation between GPA and eye sight.
How should I conduct it to have least biases as possible?

I’m worried that students might not know neither of their GPA nor eye sight.
So I was thinking abour calculating GPA and conducting visual acuity test at the same time as surveying.
My sample size will probably 50 or 30… would that be unrealistic or create any biases?

What should I do to conduct it well?

Thanks in advance and gl to all juniors who are applying soon!

^30 is a big enough sample for a class project. The visual acuity test would be hard for those wearing contacts. It’s not ideal to have to take your contacts out randomly with no fluid around. You could just ask if they have prescription lenses or contacts and do a two categorish thing.

Who feels like they scored a 5?

I feel like I did, but I’m a little nervous that I might have made a bunch of stupid mistakes on multiple choice. Will 70+ points be a 5?
