2011 apush dbq

Any predictions on the 2011 APUSH DBQ?

Last year was Puritans, and the year before Vietnam…so something in b/t…CRAP. We have it bad. :frowning: If you look at last year’s predictions about the DBQ, many guessed correctly about it being “PreColonial Era”…

I predict it’ll be on the New Deal

Okay I think it’ll be on The Gilded Age since they have never tested that.

That, or slavery…

Or maybe something Constitution related. Like, after the American Revolution…Quincy Adams? Jacksonian? Teddy Roosevelt? Wilsonian?

=____=

My teacher predicts it will be on either populism or the Guilded Age. They haven’t really tested them before… but hopefully not, those are the few sections I’m not very good at D:

God I hope it isn’t the gilded age. Populism would be fairly straight-forward for me though.

New Deal FTW! Please no Guilded Age! I certainly hope it’s something somewhat more recent/relevant/easy to draw on for outside info!

I don’t think it’ll be Populism cause they did that back in 1983, LOL. But still; also, I doubt New Deal cause that was the DBQ for 2003!!!

If the DBQ is on the beginnings of the Cold War (specifically, the Marshall Plan), I’ll jump up and run around the gym screaming my head off in happiness. :P

Do you use AP Central to look up the past DBQs and Free Response questions? Is it really that helpful?

It’s incredibly helpful. Use everything provided on AP Central.

Bumping this up  Plus it probably won’t be on the Cold War since 2001 had that…

Ugh… its probly gonna be Gilded age :(

You think so? Some were saying that it could be the Civil War, but yea the Gilded Age is looking like a definite candidate.

could we post some facts and characteristics about the gilded age? that would really help alot of people out. anything that you think would be useful to know for writing an frq/dbq about this topic.

Vertical Integration, Corporations, Knights of Labor, Industrial Workers of the World, American Federation of Labor, Pullman Strike, New Immigrants, Chinese Exclusion Act, Nativist Opposition, Social Darwinism, Gospel of Wealth, Social Gospel, Realism, Ashcan School of Art and African American/Women increases

Thats pretty much it generalized right?

I think there was already an essay for organized labor/ labor unions (the 2000 test)…

What about immigration or progressivism?

^^ immigration was 2008 I think.

But Yeah I was thinking progressivism.
I know they had a DBQ over labor unions not long ago cause I did it. (or that may have been from my own practice test…darn)

I hope is WWII, WWI. At least the free response. /:

Ugh, I’ve been reminded I still need to memorize all those strikes…
I know Pullman was put down by Cleveland calling troops out. Haymarket, Great Railroad of 1877, and … ?
