Hopefully the CR in March will be easier so I can get the 2400

-6 raw points

I may have gotten 6 wrong(-7 raw), so should I expect a 740?

Do you expect -3 raw=800?

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I didn’t think the CR was that hard. The passages were relatively easy to understand, but the answer choices were a bit tricky. I just didn’t have confidence in any of my answers until I checked these forums. Then again, CR is always my worst, so I never know what to expect.

I do like the idea of a generous curve.

The thing that makes CR hard IS the set of answer choices. Any smart person can understand the passgaes

Yeah, I often see CR answers (especially with questions like “what is the primary meaning of this passage”) that are basically right but it’s like they just put them in to trick people. I didn’t get the feeling there were many of those types of things in the CR today, but maybe that’s just me.

Hey out of curiosity… is the feedback usually this negative on a particular negative (critical reading)?

I mean if this is so bad that CC members (safe to say, generally above average) are complaining about it, wouldn’t the curve be pretty substantial as well?

I recall CC members complaining about the PSAT’s CR as well, but the curve was pretty average.

CCers always complain. :P

Good retrospective luck to everyone!

im wondering if anyone has access to the november 2008 curve because i don’t see them in the previously posted chart and the int’l test was the same as the 08 one =/

wait @yoursky,
for real!?
they can do that? just recycle tests?

so this test was definitely on the hard side?

Was the CR harder than any other SAT?

@ classicgirll yes collegeboard does reuse tests but its in the context of reusing US versions for International test takers. Nov 2010 International was the March 2010 test (which was a US only test month).

Some U.S. tests have been reused in whole or part in the U.S. as well. For example, the December 2005 SAT was reused as the January 2007 SAT (to the chagrin of the College Board when it turned out that some test takers had seen the previous test), and a large portion of the November 2005 SAT was reused in one of the forms of the November 2010 SAT.

^ I could’ve sworn for the 35-minute writing section that I recognized 1 or 2 of the questions, but maybe I just had deja vu.

I know for sure that math will be harsh and 800-780 isn’t likely. Also, for reading, I wouldn’t be surprised if 64/67 raw score is still an 800. It’s ironic that most people don’t get 64 as a raw score due to the “guessing” penalty.

My prediction

@qwerty. They wont be THAT generous IMO in CR

^
Why not???

I don’t think the CR was overly difficult. It’s just that some of the answer choices had ambiguous references and could be argued either way.
