<p>The curve varies from year to year, so it’s pointless to predict your score like that, especially on writing where the odd essay+MC style of scoring CollegeBoard uses is really volatile.</p>

<p>It’s easier to predict when the essay score is 11/12. If you get a 12, you’ll definitely have a 740+. The curve on an SAT a few years back was 12 essay + 4 wrong was still an 800.
If you get an 11, you’ll probably land somewhere around a 760-780. So either way, yes, you’ll be higher than a 740+</p>
