On the UT EID login it still says my application is incomplete and my Spring 2011 transcript from UTSA is missing, will this delay my admission decision? I believe it might only be like that since the only requirement for the CAP program is to submit your final transcript at the end of the semester, but I was wondering if that appeared on anyone else’s status check.

Scm, I think that just means that since you don’t have 30 hours completed yet, you MUST submit your Spring grades before a decision will be made. You will find out late May/early June though.

I have 37 hours not counting the courses I am enrolled in this semester, I am pretty sure it has to do with the CAP program since the guidelines for completing the CAP program include submitting your final transcript

It looks like your question is answered then, scm2285. Contact your CAP advisor/UT admissions though (just to be safe).

CowboysFan08, I called admissions yesterday and the guy there said we’d probably find out after we send in our Spring grades. He used the word ‘probably’ so it may not be the case for everyone…

Good luck bros! It’s a little scary for me though, because everyone here will have a 3.9/4.0 by the end of this semester…

I just aced my calculus II test with a 98, pretty confident I will be able to pull off a 4.0 this semester! I wish I had done some kinda of business-related extracurricular this year, but in the end it seems like the GPA that matters most.

What topics did it cover? I’ve had 1 test where I got a 100, but Cal 2 has gotten way harder and I can’t be sure of an A…

We only have 2 tests and the final and I got As on the 2 tests so as long as I do well on the final I will get an A, the final is cumulative though so I am pretty scared

I talked to an admissions counselor and she said that they will not review my application until after I have completed the indicator courses, looks like I will be waiting a while

A transfer just got admitted to McCombs: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-texas-austin/1062933-ut-austin-2011-12-transfer-guide-25.html

Yeah, same for me scm2285

“Congratulations! You have been admitted to your first-choice major in the McCombs School Of Business ( Unspecified Business (Transfer) ) at UT Austin. Discover what to do next to begin your Longhorn experience.”

:)

Congratulations!!! but you have not yet finished the business indicator courses? I am confused now! haha

Ok I think I figured it out. CAP program requires you to send your final transcript at the end of the Spring semester. On my status check it said it still needed that transcript but that is probably for CAP purposes only. Because of that I had not sent a current UTSA transcript including my coursework from last semester, therefore it would appear to UT-Austin that I had less than 30 hours. So I just sent my transcript from UTSA and maybe I will get a decision earlier than May?

Yeah, dude I was f***ing surprised when I saw it. Yeah, I think you’ll have to wait awhile longer for your CAP contract (I considered doing CAP last year). I’m SO glad that I didn’t though. Good luck bro! I want to see you at orientation!

I also got accepted yesterday to the McCombs School of Business as an unspecified transfer! Does this mean I can make a B? LOL

YEAH CowboysFan08! PM me bro? Do you have Facebook? I’d like to talk some sh** out. I’m going to call this number an admissions lady gave me about getting a falling in GPA and I’ll report back, cool?

I’m really surprised about the indicator course thing. You’d think they’d be a bit tougher about it. I’ve heard so many different responses. But I’m still happy about it!

JammyD, do you think I will be penalized for just now submitting my transcript from UTSA t?

I was admitted to McCombs this morning! Man what a great feeling seeing that after all this waiting and hard work the past couple of years. It was definitely worth it!

Here are my stats:
3,9 gpa (UT calculated as 4.0) w/ 63 transferable hours
Cal 1-3 completed. Taking Economics this semester.

Congratulations to everyone!

I just got accepted to McCombs too!! I have a 3.79 and all indicator courses complete and a total of 63 credit hours. Now I have to begin the MPA application…

CONGRATS NoCover and Andrew! It’s such an amazing feeling, yeah?

I contacted UT today, and they said if we get a couple of B’s this semester they don’t really care in regards to admission. The lady told me if you got any D’s then your acceptance might be rescinded. So just don’t do TOO bad and you’re golden!

hey guys! congrats to all of u who made it!

im an out-of-state international transfer. my gpa is 3.83 but i havent updated my transcript yet. do we really have to update it? my gpa kinda went down a bit so i dont think im going to update it if its not really required… i finished all the business courses. do u think i have a chance? i was rejected by a&m but admitted to uiuc’s economics, though not its business, which was my first choice. pfft. so im really hoping i score austin.
