Does anyone know when/how MSU notifies of acceptance/decline?
I’ve been accepted academically and auditioned at Unifieds.

I have been wondering the same thing, I auditioned at unified as a walk in. I have heard of at least 2 boys who were accepted, I have no clue what form of communication though.

Colleen,

My D also auditioned at Unifieds and her admissions status says that her application is incomplete (no audition). We contacted the school and they said that it would be several weeks before they get through everyone’s applications to make final decisions. So probably like most of the other schools…not until the end of March.

My D was accepted today…she received a letter in the mail. She auditioned at Chicago Unifieds.

nbmom, had your daughter already applied and/or been academically accepted to the school?

Yes, she had been accepted awhile ago and had an appointment in Chicago.

Application status now says ‘audition received’ with date of 3/1/11, even tho I auditioned in Chicago. Maybe that means that the audition decision was just sent to Admissions? Anyone else see an update here? Anyone know how soon after a date is posted for ‘audition received’ that a letter arrived?

It says my audition has not been received and it says “WL MUTR” in the notes section.
Does anyone know what this means? haha

MTBoy, I have no better than you do, but looking at it, I feel like it may mean “Waitlist Musical Theatre”, if so CONGRATS!

Did anyone else get the “still in consideration” email?
It was in my junk mailbox!

My D auditioned at Chicago unifieds – received letter today with acceptance for BFA in Acting. (Audition status on webpage had changed to Audition received 3/1/2010, but no indication on webpage that she had been accepted.)

Just a side note for all of you checking the webpage, they seem to be VERY inconsistent in whether they update it or not. My daughter has been academically accepted since Decemeber and on the website her status is still IFR which I had been confirmed by admissions meant ‘in for review’…so obviously after they accepted her no one bothered to update that page. I’d assume that’s the case for the audition statuses too probably depends on who processes it and how thorough they are.

My D’s webpage also has IFR, but that code is in the column next to the October 28, 2010 entry – when her application to the University was complete.
They didn’t put in another code in the column next to audition completed and didn’t put a new code when they sent her acceptance to the University earlier this month or when they sent her acceptance for BFA in Acting this week.

I auditioned at Chicago Unified and I got my musical theatre acceptance letter two days ago (March 4th)./

Does everyone receive a still in consideration letter before acceptance?
I got a letter saying I would be notified by april 15th.

I auditioned as a walk in at Chicago Unifieds and promptly filled out the app. and sent everything in and got a recent message about having an incomplete app. However, the only thing missing is my audition…not sure what this all means. Do you think a call to admissions of the department would be better?

Looks like Montclair is just getting to updating their admissions page. My daughter auditioned in Chicago and they just updated hers to Wait listed from incomplete. I had called last week and they told me that it would be a few more weeks before they got through everyone’s material

Hey everybody!

I auditioned for Montclair at Chicago Unifieds. I received my BFA Musical Theater acceptance letter around March 1. I hope this helps!

It does help! I was getting worried, assuming all offers to accepted students had already been made but it looks like they are accepting people as they sort through everyone’s applications.

Don’t worry yet, there is still another audition day to go. My D will be auditioning on March 26, so they probably won’t complete their acceptances until after that day. Stay positive!
