@belleoftheball: Wow, congrats!! When did you complete your application for NYU Sackler?

Last night, I also got an interview invite from NYU Sackler, and then today Yale MCDB called, and Duke CMB e-mailed offers. Good luck to everyone!

hey biowwlaw ā¦congrats on all your invites.please post your stats.

@fallbiomed2011 I know you asked before, but I was a little reluctant (I like my privacy, but I also like sharing experiences/seeing when schools are inviting other applicants). Here are my stats/List of Schools:

Thanks for posting biowwlaw.Curiosity satiated.

@gtugce, I submitted my app for NYU on November 8th but didnāt have all my rec letters in until the 26th. good luck!

Got an email from Scripps Florida saying they received my app and will be making a decision (probably about interviews) in the next few weeks. The Scripps Cali sent a less descriptive email a month ago saying all my stuff was received.

Iām new around here, but I didnāt see any posts about Arizona, so I thought Iād add in that I got an interview invite via email last week for U of AZās neuro program.

Still havenāt heard anything from UCLA and UWash, though I read on gradcafe that UW has already selected 40 people? No one has said that they themselves have received an invite. If anyone has heard anything back from their Neurobio & Behav program Iād love to know! Thanks.

Seems there are stats involved?

Neurbio/Physiology & Psychology double degree from UMD, college park
3.27 GPA
GRE: 690 V(97%), 780Q (89%) 4.5 A (67%)
~4 years relevant neuro/bio research experience.
1 publication in the works

@kurplunk18 and cellculture

I just discovered this forum because I was trying to find acceptance rates for Yaleās BBS MCGD program. I got an interview from them a couple of hours ago, so they have started contacting applicants already, just letting you know. Good luck!

I also have an interview at Umich PIBS, but thatās it so far. How likely are you to get in if youāre being interviewed? Everyoneās been throwing around general numbers, but are there no specific stats available anywhere on the internet?

Also if you want my stats:
UC Berkeley 4th year
3.62 Overall GPA
3.56 Major GPA in Molecular and Cell Biology
GRE: 790/91% Q, 690/97% V, 4.5/67%
2 years of research experience, in UC Berkeley evo-devo lab.
No papers published yet, but working on independent project (for honors thesis) and wrapping up a different paper with PI.

Applied to
Biology/Cell and Developmental (MIT)
Biological Sciences (Stanford)
Biological Sciences (UCSD)
Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology (Yale)
TETRAD (UCSF)
ACCESS (UCLA)
Genetics and Genomics (Duke)
PIBS (University of Michigan)

Just updating. I got asked to an interview at Albert Einstein via email today. They didnāt say what dates thoughā¦

@blizpix: It varies from school to schol, although I do believe it to be generally high. They already like you on paper, they just want to see if your not a creep and can actually communicate with your peers. One person who has worked on the admissions committee told me that essentially they accept everyone they interview.

Scripps (Immuno Track) via email (although the email didnāt specify the track on it)
Interview dates are Feb 26 and March 5

Updating an earlier post about Albert Einstein Dates:
Jan 13-14 and Jan 24-25.

@mbr484: Just heard from Scripps. The dates are Feb.24 and Mar.3, both of which conflict with other schools I applied:( Hopefully Iāll work something out.

@ImmunoNIH: My thesis advisor told me that interviews were like that when she was on the WashU admission committee, which was like 15 years ago. She also said that schools tend to reject people after interviews more and more these days.

Congrats guys!

Also got the invite to Scripps CA Immunology. :D

Regarding post-interview acceptance rate, itās totally dependent on the target class size and interviewee pool size. For instance, a target class size of 15 given 60 interviewees (true example) means a program can only stand to admit ~50% of interviewees.

For anyone else who was waiting for Neurobio at University of Washington, all invites have already been sent out. Though there is a waiting list, as a last hope.

I am surprised to hear it referred to this way.

Congrats! I applied to a the biology track at Scripps. Hopefully theyāll be sending something out soon, or boo if the invites have already gone out

just received emails from UC Irvine CMB and Columbiaās Biomed. Theyāre the same dates so I gotta make some choices.
