When did you submit your applications for Rockefeller?
and Congratulations!!

bio2nerd, I submitted to Rockefeller on November 30

Dear Microkel, are you national or international applicant? I was also applying to PMB department as an international applicant but until now I had not accepted any email from them; they said that students who are not selected for an interview will also be notified at the same time of invitation notification. I am expecting your kindly response.

@bionerd

I applied 1 week before Thanksgiving, so the middle of November.

@wn2004

I am a national applicant. I submitted my supplemental materials on the last possible day, so I was surprised to get an interview invite so soon. Good luck to you!

Hello all! Has anyone heard back from Harvard Immunology. I know Harvard Neuro and Virology have sent out invites but I’ve not seen any Immuno invites yet.

Does anyone know if UNC BBSP is finished invited applicants for interviews? I only ask because they started sending out invites at the beginning of December and I still haven’t received one.

Anyone hear from UChicago (Neuro/OBA) or UVa (Neuro). I have yet to hear from either. I have already received interview invites at Northwestern (NUIN) and Princeton (Neuro) so am getting a little bit anxious about not hearing anything. Thanks

Also,

@BrainEvo, when did you hear from Princeton for an invite? congrats

Hello and happy new year!
Has anyone heard from Cornell Weill,U Penn, Cold Spring, Sinai, Tetrad or Princeton?

@joehanus

Hey Joe,

I heard from Princeton Neuro via e-mail on 12/22. I do not, however, know any other applicants so I am unsure if they are going in waves or en masse. Hope this helps.

@bioblogger: what program at Penn are you applying?

Hi! I’m new to this forum, but I was wondering if anyone else is in my situation. It’s December 30 and I haven’t received any interview invites yet. Should I be worried? Also, did Harvard Neuro already send out all of their invites?

Thanks a bunch!

Oh, and here are my stats:

GPA: 3.99 (major: 4.0)
GRE: V600 Q760 AW4.5
No publications but 1 poster presentation
2 semesters in Cancer-research lab
1 semester in Ecology lab
3 semesters in Biomedical/Neuroscience lab

I’m an international student, but I’m currently studying in the US for my undergrad.

Do you think my stats are good enough for Ivy league Ph.D. programs?

Thanks a bunch!

Hi BrainEvo, can you please post your stats here?

Bookhorse, I do not think your stats are an issue at all. But your status as an international student will play a significant part in this, I believe, as funding is much more difficult to come by for internationals. Hopefully someone else here will be of more help to you.

Hmm, has anyone applied to or heard back from the Sanger Institute’s Ph.D. programme? It doesn’t seem like too many people applied to it on here

@ampersands: I did apply there, and no, I haven’t heard back yet.
