2011 Point in cycle admission/enrollment statistics

Just some things that stuck out to me. NOTE: Any stat that deals with enrolled student is off because not all students have enrolled.

32% of enrolled students have an SAT score of 1300+ (2010: 30%; 2009: 30%)

35,186 Applicants, 25,431 Admits, 2,293 Enrolled

25% of applicants who reported SAT scores had SAT scores 1300+ (2010: 21%)

96% of applicants with 1300+ were admitted (8,089 out of 8,420)

87% of applicants with SAT scores 1100-1290 were admitted (91% admitted in 2010)

OOS applications were up from 20,423 in 2010 to 22,145

OOS acceptance rate was 74% (77% in 2010)

In state applications were up from 12,595 in 2009 to 13,041 in 2011. (I used 2009 here because 2010 saw a large spike due to college go week. The report says that "This initiative inflated the counts of admits making comparisons to other years tenuous")

In state acceptance rate was 68%, down from 70% in 2009

45% of enrolled students are from out of state

Even though applications were down 4%, the amount of applications with 1300+ was up 5.3% (up 7.1% for OOS applicants)
