2011 Predict your AP scores thread!

Now that AP exams are over, I'm sure we're all wondering and making predictions about our AP scores. I'm curious as to how you guys think you did, especially considering that we may have new curves.
So go ahead and make your predictions.

Since I only took 1 AP and an easy one(AP Comp Sci)…

TBH, i think I got a 5. At worst a 4. It really depends on how other people did though. Becuase it was an easy test, although FRQ was harder than past years and there’s no guessing penalty, so curve might be 65-80 is 5 rather than 60-80.

um i think a 4/5 in ap psych
3/4 in chem i would do a 4/5 but i ended up skipping one whole frq cause i didn’t have the time to answer it. …

probably going to land 4/5’s on macro and micro this wed for latetesting.

APs:
English Literature: 4/5
English Language: 5
Music Theory: 5
Physics B: 5
Environmental Science: 5
Human Geography: 4/5
Spanish Language: 4/5
US History: 5

5 on all tests I have taken and will take this year. Those are:
USH
Euro
Bio
Phys B
Eng Lang
World
Human Geo
Phys C Mech
Phys C EM

^You took Physics B and both Physics C exams already? Wouldn’t one of those be in late testing?

C’s are in late testing. That’s why I said “and will take.”

AP Calc AB - 5
AP Gov. & Pol: U.S. - 5
AP Stat - Maybe 4 but probably a 5
AP Literature - Maybe 4, could be a 5 (barely missed a 5 on practice test, but my teacher grades harshly)

in ap calc ab im hoping for a 5 but i probably got a 4. in ap lit im hoping for a 4 but probably got a 3.

Calc BC - 5
Chem - 5
Bio - 4/5
Eng Lang - 5

Calculus BC: 5
Biology: 5
Human Geography: 5
Environmental Science: will take
Psychology: will take

Lol it seems like lots of people do late testing…

Anyway, why are you guys pretty much all confident you’ll get a 5?

AP Calc AB: 3
AP USH: 5
AP Physics B: 3
AP US Gov.: 5
AP Comp. Gov.: 5
AP English Lang.: Still have to take, but hopefully a 4/5.

AP Environmental Science: 5
AP Psychology: 3
AP US History: 5
AP Biology: 5
AP English Language: 4

I expect the following scores on my N.E.W.T. exams when I get the owl post this July:

Comp Sci: 4 (5 if lucky)
Calc BC: 5
Lit: 5
Bio: 5
Government: 5
Physics C Mechanics: 2 or 3 LOL

As a senior…I mean 7th year…these exams were alot less stressful than those O.W.L.'s in junior…I mean 5th, year.

Unfortunately I collapsed halfway through my Physics C Mech exam due to pain in my scar.

Harry Potter much??? lol nice allusion though. SO you would saw N.E.W.Ts are like the AP exams and O.W.L are state tests/SATs?

Also, in that case, 5 would be oustanding :stuck_out_tongue: and 4 would be EE

Pain in your scar…

I am an unabashed fan. And actually I was trying to roughly equate O.W.L.'s to junior year AP exams and N.E.W.T.'s to senior year AP exams, but SATs work as well. And nice catch with the grading. So yes, I suppose I expect 4 or 5 Outstandings, maybe one Exceeds Expectations, and either an Acceptable or Poor in Physics C Mech.

Ha, nice one.

I think OWLs are more like SAT/ACT than jr year AP tests.

I can see that. But there are a few striking similarities between APs and OWLs (though we can assume the NEWT testing process is similar to the OWL one, we of course do not know this for sure as it is not described in the books):

Both occur near the end of the school year

Both occur over a two week period

The results of both are sent “sometime in July” (to quote Prof. McGonagall and the CB website…)

Both have exams in the morning and afternoon (albeit that for OWLs, it is usually the same exam, just the theory and practical split up)

Both are graded/scored by impartial examiners/graders not affiliated with one’s own school

Both do not give a detailed breakdown of one’s performance in the score report but rather a simple list of one-figure scores

These scores are both on a scale of 5: 1-2-3-4-5 for APs and O-EE-A-P-D for OWLS

The prospect of these exams at the end of the school year generally means increased amounts of homework and studying for students.

The pain in the scar reference was actually almost figurative, as that FR section of the Physics C Mech exam certainly gave me a headache…though I don’t think I had any false visions that caused me to fly away on a thestral to government buildings.

I’m predicting…

Environmental science: 4-5
Physics C Mechanics: 4-5
Physics C E&M: 5
Calculus BC: 5 (knock on wood)
US History: 4
Biology: 4-5
English Language: 5
