Oh, and I will be going to UCLA, doing summer session C for sure, not sure about A yet.

For you people who are doing Session A, unless you still have your rooms at home (I know I wont) what are you planning to do and where do you plan to live during your time off during Session C? Also how many units/classes are you guys planning to do?

@raacheeel hope you get into the major you want! And I can’t wait to do an internship at UCSD. Probably gonna look for something in the fall. But good luck to you!

@cici19 thanks! what’s your major?

@raacheel: Are you living on campus over sumer? What about fall?

@Grimes99 im living at HOME haha…30 minute drive everyday!

@raacheeel: Ouuuuch. I’m in San Marcos and opted against that haha. It’s about 30 minutes for me too.

@Grimes99 loool yeah i think San Marcos is worse. I’m coming from Chula Vista so i guess ill be leaving the house a 6:45 everyday to get good parking hah

@raacheeel: Ohh I forgot you’re in Chula Juana. I win by default :P

Grand Canyon, rock climbing as much as possible and the gym. It is my summer to get in shape before I start at UCLA. I got to pull one of those “I Used to Be Fat” workout routines since I will have 3 months of break.

Hahahahaha love it. That’s my plan too.

First six weeks: traveling in Europe!
Last two weeks: getting ready for Cal!
My summer is cut by at least a month because I’m going from the quarter system to the semester system :'<.

I will be at Cal this Sat too, although i already SIRed to UCLA becasue i think it will be easier to stay here on the fam.

I enrolled in summer session A and C just so i can get used to UCLA before the fall quarter starts.

@raacheeel my major is psychology. Hope I can get like a research assistant position next semester! That’ll be awesome. Lol

I was going to take some summer session courses at ucla but decided to drop them last minute, but now im stuck paying $150! Going to do some travelling around the states and relax a bit and then hit the ground running once I start in the fall at ucla!

its $150 to drop them even this early on?

Moving to Berkeley area from San Diego at the end of May after spring semester at ccc is over. I’m so excited but also scared…I’ve never even been to NorCal before. I have a few weeks to find a place to live (off-campus) and get adjusted to the area before summer session starts 6-20. Taking 8 units to ease into the transfer.

I’m afraid that 1. commute/public transport will be very expensive and inconvenient, and 2. Cal will by WAY harder than ccc and I might not be academically prepared :(

Ah, I’m in the same boat ideal. I was going to take summer classes but decided I want to try and stay 3 years at UCLA anyway. Oh well, I didn’t have to pay for my SIR so I guess i’m making up for it by paying the 150 to drop them.

Yes, Liz, it’s only 150 $ if you drop all of your classes though.

whew… i saw you can only get summer financial aid if you enroll in at least 6 units but now i feel like just paying the fee and only taking one class. i guess i am ok then!

@Liz
Just take one class~! It shouldn’t be that bad, right?

^its something like $240 a unit (for in state) and the classes are generally 4 units… so its definitely enough to be troublesome-ish
