<p>@cheesebear, you should describe how you’ve overcome hardships or how well you performed in school/extracurriculars to demonstrate your strengths. An essay is probably not going to help very much.</p>
<p>@berkeleyappeal, explain that you were sick and what actions you took in order to remedy your grades.</p>
