2011 UC Transfer Admission Decisions

@harrypotter123

did you tag? congratulations on your acceptances so far!

@dystaxia

Yeah, I tagged. Except UCB and UCLA of course. As for TAP, I didn’t complete the requirements to fulfill it. I think I would choose UCSD over UCLA anyway. My mom used to be a professor at UCLA and I grew up 1 hour from LA; I feel like I’ve already seen what LA has to offer. Or maybe I’m just saying that because I know my chances of getting into LA are slim. Ha.

harrypotter123-what are your stats

really? you did not care to look at the two previous posts? really, pinoaiko?

It is April 14th and I still haven’t heard from any UCs yet. Do you guys think that I am rejected? (><). I am so worry. I have apply UCI, UCSD, UCD, UCLA, and UCB. …is there anyone haven’t heard from any UCs yet?? And the decision will come out till 30th this month?? I am scare.(T_T)

@ angellinaqueen: I haven’t either.

@Levonid

Film major for UCSB, UCD, and UCB, but UCLA I applied to Women’s Studies. I talked to a counselor there about applying as a current student into the film major rather than as a transfer. Definitely consider that an option if you’re interested in UCLA film but applied with a different major. GPA: 3.5.

Not yet. I applied to UCI, UCSD, and UCD.

didnt look at harrypotters stats.

@Pinoiako

What do you mean? My GPA was 3.2.

Well, I accepted my offer at UCSB. Good luck to everyone else. I’m still pending for UCSD, but I really do not want to go there.

I meant that I accidentally overlooked your stats.

When did you get your acceptance letter?
I thought they would unveil acceptance letters on April 29!

Congrats to you! I am still waiting on UC Berkeley!
I got into UCI, UCR and UCSB, Cal Poly SLO and Santa Clara. I am a bus admin major too.

Hi everyone I was wondering what you thought of my chances of getting into Berkeley or LA. Here are my stats:
Major: English
GPA: 3.8
GPA for major: 3.9
Colleges I applied to: UCR, UCSD, UCSC, UCD, UCI, UCSB, UCLA, UCB
Accepted: UCR, UCSC, UCSB, UCI
Pending: UCD, UCLA, UCB, UCSD
TAG: UCI, UCSB
TAP: UCB, UCLA
Transferring from: California community college
IGETC: Competed
Side note: I completed all 60 units in one school year (summer 18 units, fall 29 units, and spring 21 units). Do u think this will help me?
ECs: tons and I am a member of the honors program at my college.
Please tell me what you think of my chances…I would really like to know :)

@Sunshinemina

Sounds like you have a great chance at getting into UCLA. Finishing all 60 units in one year is very impressive, and your GPA is high for that major. Also, TAP will really boost your chances. I did hear this year that UCLA and Cal are collaborating by accepting applicants to only one of the two colleges. So, if you get into UCLA, Berkeley will most likely not admit you. Which one is your preference?

^lemonpretty

Where did you hear that? That rumor has floated around for years, and has always been inaccurate. Has something changed?

“I did hear this year that UCLA and Cal are collaborating by accepting applicants to only one of the two colleges.”

how did you hear about this lemonpretty? What are the reasons they are doing this? Im just curious

Seems like bs if you ask me…
