@ ILoveLA24 - What do you mean you haven’t applied for regents…the deadline was awhile ago. I was actually asking about the email regarding the Alumni scholarship you received today. Can you tell us what that was about? You mentioned writing three essays…was the email an invite to apply for an Alumni scholarship (like the regents email?)

And no…I haven’t been able to see financial aid yet either! Congrats on being accepted btw

So I figured out how to view your unofficial financial aid award letter… just create your URSA logon and click the “View Your Provisional Award Letter from the Financial Aid”

@jane_doe, yeah I applied for regents a while back! I was talking about the alumni scholarship. I don’t know if you have to be invited to apply for the alumni scholarship, but the email & phone call basically said they “encouraged” me to apply. Unlike regents, there’s an application portion where you list all your EC’s, work experience, & 3 essays (no more than 500 words each).
Thanks, congrats to you too! Is UCLA or Cal your top choice?

@ ILoveLA24 - I didn’t hear anything about the Alumni scholarship ): but 3 essays…ouch. Is the deadline soon?

Although I fell in love with the UCLA campus when I visited in high school, Haas is my top choice. It really sucks that UCLA does not have a better undergrad business program because I love the environment down there (I’m from San Francisco) and would love to go to LA. What about you?

@jane_doe yeah, it’s due May 3 with 2 letters of recommendation on top of the 3 essays
Yeah, I hear HAAS is top-notch! USC is my top-choice (Leventhal Accounting), I’m from LA so although I love the crisp, clean NorCal air, I feel like I’d freeze in Berkeley lol. Good luck to you, I’m sure you’ll get into HAAS! It’s good to see another girl business/econ major, seems like it’s typically such a boy’s world!
