<p>I didn’t choose an alternative major as I’m not interested in anything else, plus I don’t have any pre-reqs done for anything else. </p>
<p>I’m not sure why I got rejected. Everyone at my school thought I was a shoo-in for UCLA including the head chair of Econ. </p>
<p>Factors that may have played a role:</p>
<p>-B in Calc I which is a pre-req</p>
<p>-re-entry student: I dropped out of college 8 years ago. I started over again at a cc two years ago and have had a near perfect record with a multiple academic achievements under my belt. </p>
<p>I’m not too bummed as this was my 3rd choice, but it now makes me seriously worry about UCB. These next four days are going to be hell.</p>

<p>I was in TAP with a 3.89 and they rejected me so it must have been something else. As far as the personal statements, our Berkeley TAP coordinator told us that personal statements are very, very important since everyone who applies has nearly identical stats so they differentiate us by our essays.</p>
