Nyky91 you are a reach but a compelling hook like that can make.you borderline

The site just tells me I don’t have access?

can anyone please help me…?

What if you didn’t apply for any housing, or fafsa or anyform of financial aid during the uc application process… I even clicked living “off campus” in the application… am I suppose to see the changes as well?? like the financial aid stuff that ya’ll see??

I got access to my ursa account, but I can’t see my financial aid or my document tracking. I looked at the thread about the hack, but some people say it doesn’t mean anything if you can’t see them. Was there a final decision made about whether or not the hack is true?

nope, can’t see either of them. it’s early to determine whether it’s indicative of anything, but meh, kind of a bummer.

History (alt. Anthropology)
3.4
TAP

if you read a page or two back, people are saying that they are still posting it - even up until decisions are released.
it is also generally accepted that having your fin aid stuff show up DOESN’T GUARENTEE squat. its just a positive sign.
so no one lose hope cuz that would be stupid :)

^Rationally I know you’re right–I said the exact same thing myself–but I’m still losing hope. At a deeper level, I think I’m doing it to lower my expectations, making a rejection less painful and an acceptance more exciting.

nick! did your shiet not show up?!?!?!?!?!? dont you have like a ccc 3.9 gpa?! T_T
what was your major?

but seriously, its okay to keep your expectations low but on that deeper level i think you should still have hope. i tell everyone that i just KNOW i wont get into cal, but deep down inside, hope springs eternal :)

Yeah not having the financial aid show up is considerably less significant at this point than having it show up. Having it show up is a good sign. This far out, not having it change doesn’t mean anything. If you look through last year, some people didn’t see the change until the day off. Some people didn’t see it until after they were admitted. Don’t read anything into NOT having the financial aid stuff change.

@redoplease

Yeah, a 3.96 CCC GPA that’s killed by my first year at a barely accredited OOS four year college (2007-2008). It’s going to suck if I don’t get in. I really got screwed by that first college, and if that’s what keeps me from UCLA or Cal, I’ll know that there is literally nothing I could have done better since leaving. That’s the most depressing part–you give your all, but your all just isn’t enough.

Anyway, my stats:

-Political Science
-3.4 GPA cumulative (3.95 and 60 units at CCC)
-4.0 among all CCC political science classes, 4 prerequisites completed, plus a Psych Statistics course (A+)
-IGETC (all complete as of Fall 2010; 4.0)
-TAP-certified
-Only B at CCC was in Intro to Marketing–It was an online class, and I forgot to take a test.

Work experience: Currently on staff for an elected official. Among other things, I am conducting analysis for local redistricting.

Personal Statements: Very strong, I think. I’ve had some very unique experiences over the past few years, and they relate to my major. I know “unique” is overused by CCers, but I can guarantee that no other applicant has had the sort of experiences I have.

How exactly do I go about this URSA hack?

It’s not a hack. You just make an account, login, and see what’s there.

@nick - if you dont get into ucla or cal…it would be one grand injustice. do you have any back ups that you’ve been admitted to? but im rooting for you dude - its not over til its over.
@lost - go to the ursa ucla page thing (i just google it everytime lol) and make an id by clicking the admitted students identification (no, no harm will come to you if you do so). then check out your financial aid :)

If it hasn’t showed up yet, don’t panic. I think most who are going to be admitted will see financial aid show up throughout the day on admissions day…hopefully the 20th crosses fingers

i think its stupid that they havent even told us a date yet. i wish every school just did it like berkeley D:

damnit I can’t see it, ugh, I just want one acceptance damnit, no results yet for UCSD/UCI/CAL/UCLA

3.9 gpa Bio major :/

@redoplease It’s gonna be 4/20…4/21 at the latest ;)

I’ve been admitted to UCSD, UCI, and UCR, and I received a financial aid award and approved TAG from Davis.

If I don’t get UCLA or Cal I’ll go to San Diego, unless SB offers a drastically better financial aid package (the other UCs didn’t).

It really isn’t MUCH of an indicator to see/not be able to view your URSA finaid just yet. Exactly a year ago only a handful of people got to see it; the VAST majority began to see it April 21, the day decisions were released.

I just thought of it as a bummer lol. I know it’s not an indicator because…sigh…I was in last year’s thread following events as they unfolded lmao.

A lot of people began seeing it around 1:00 AM on the 21st. So yeah, lol.

Edit: When I say “indicator” I mean if you get to see it now (April 15) or not. If you can see your finaid that’s a pretty GOOD indicator in terms of acceptance lmao.

@nick - atleast you have SD! going from a no-name college to a ccc to SDorLAorCAL…not bad B)
@smcguy - about time man. i know you deserve ucla too.

LETS GET THIS FUX OVER WITH.
