Everyone on this forum is saying the test is easy. When people at my school asked me how hard the test was (people that didnt take the test) i said it was medium difficulty. i dont feel extremely intelligent right about now. unless everyone here is a genius! some people are saying they finished the test with up to 25 minutes to spare in each section pretty much. im usually a slow test writer anyway, but 25 minutes is insane! Although when you study as much as some people do, you dont have to think as long for each question. hope i get a 5, although to be honest i dont see the real use of getting a 5, since im gonna take calculus in junior core at college anyway to boost my average (it will be so easy, since ive been doing calculus for a whole year, and wont have to try as hard in college). This test was all about pride for me :D

I’m not sure what the answer was but what you had to do to solve it was f(f(7)) -> f(3) and then find the slope at this point on the graph

Anyone remember the answer to that question with the F being the antiderivative of f(x) and then they said solve in terms of F for the integral f(3x+4)?

@ronaldinho a 2100 SAT is considered mediocre on here, and so is a 3.7 GPA and a 32 ACT. So don’t worry haha some people here are insanely smart

oh god that is really intense LOL
review hw for class was enough for me to whizz by with 20-30 minutes on the clock ><

i put 1/3(f(10)-f(1)) for that one.

Yeah Ae, that’s the answer I got.

I heard that BC had the same frq question as us. The one with the bird and you had to differentiate/integrate to find B(t).

i think i put abs value of whatever the function was plus the constant. i think that should be right…it’s the only way to find total distance.
how did you guys find the horizontal line equation in 2?

Hey guys I would very much appreciate if you can shed light on the scoring system on particular solution questions to a differential equation. Lets say you separate variables and integrate, but forget to pull out the negative sign. However you then proceed to find the constant and solution correctly. On past papers they give you individual points for like separation integral, constant… my question is will I not be awarded any points for the rest of the question if I forgot the negative sign on the initial integral? Or do I get points for continuing correctly in respect of the “false integral”.

Also does anybody know weather curve is different for the European test than the US test?

Thanks a lot in advance :).

I thought for the free response TDT v(t) was like cos(pi/6 t)…so i did the abs from like 0 to 6 of that? Im confussedd :(

I’m pretty angry because I messed up on the last part with the bird one about separating the variables T.T and some of the Calculator Multiple Choice, but overall from what we are comparing, I think I did pretty well :)

i thought to find total distance, you are not supposed to add the constant? i was under the impression that the constant was just the iniitial position/at time t=0?. Dont you just calculate the integral with just absolute value?

Okay dang it. For the baby bird question, I separated the variables but I also moved the 1/5 over (I know silly error) and then I found the constant of integration, so even though I got it wrong, will I get partial credit for the process? I know chemistry does that but I don’t know about Calc. Now I’m sad :(

i thought you had to add the constant…but that’s only what i was taught and honestly i wouldn’t be surprised if it’s wrong. it’s probably only one point anyway.

i’m worried about the baby bird one too! i think i separated the variables wrong or maybe integrated wrong? something like that because my answers definitely don’t match…i hope you still get credit for integrating, +C, solving with initial conditions D; now i’m realizing the test wasn’t as good as i thought it was…

does everyone really think the curve will be that different? i heard it’s just a modified version every year so probably only two to three point difference max.

When do they post the free response questions?

For the position, velocity, acceleration question on FR, was the object speeding up it down? I got confused with identities and messed it up… I feel like it’s increasing…

And I think for non Calc MC with area, I got 12. I got confused with curve but I checked it with my calculator but yeah it was hard.

Freddy, i thought it was 4?

i’m pretty sure it was either 4 or -4

And it was increasing, both acc and vel were neg
