@cocksure Ha, I didn’t even think about the possibility that we were being asked for anything but a number.

this is so ridiculous lol, when do we even get to say the answers?? gawsh

What I put for 2
Reserves decrease by 5k(free point)
Excess reserves are 500
MS doesn’t change
Bank can borrow from other banks/Fed

he took out 5k but there was 5k on excess reserve, but 500 are left?

There’s only 95k left in the bank, so only 9.5 k have to be in reserve, not 10k

garfieldliker, what did u put for first one?

Yes, but once all excess reserves are taken out, less money will need to be kept as required reserves in order to still meet the ratio (since there is less money in the bank). Thus, the rest can be kept as excess reserves.

I’m getting headache because of that freakin 2nd FRQ. Collegeboard likes to throw us few hard questions either at beginning or at the end

@cocksure, what first one? What was the question?

it was like asking what is required reserve

it was 10%

^ thats what i put. But are you guys sure about the answer to last part of 2nd frq??

That they can borrow from other banks/the fed?

yup. is that question 2 points??

do they deduct points for explanation also?

did you guys know, you can never get 100% on APES FRQ?

I think it’s pretty self-explanatory…

It’s one point for the answer and one point if the question asks you to explain. Graphs are worth more points (I think around 4).

Can anyone give an estimated point system for each question for each frq? xD

I like to get a rough estimate of what I got right on the frqs

Please and thank you

I feel like the curve is going to be rather unpleasant because everyone in my class thought it was pretty easy… and we usually suck at macro!
