2012 AP Test Results Thread

^^

I thought he was calling the mom crazy HA!

AP’s are for college credit (pertaining to a school’s policy of course) not admissions

SAT II’s are for Admissions (look into the schools to see if they require them)

Make sure to take AP classes those that are STEM, to see if your child is really good at the field.

I is humanities child throws book at science

I’m so happy  I got a 4 on my AP USH exam! I know a lot of you would not be happy with a 4… I’m not really at all an ivy league hopeful or anything…just wanna get in to a good state school. So I mean, I thought I would get a 3…a 4 is good too :3.

10th grader btw.

Two of my teachers have told me I scored a 5 on their exams – Bio and Lang. Sweet. I felt really great about those two and would have been surprised if I didn’t get 5s, but it is still super nice to know for sure.

Still waiting for the letter that’ll inform me how I scored on the other five exams. I’m especially nervous about Calc BC, since I need at least a 4 in order to take Calc III next year, and Euro since I didn’t feel super great about that one.

Is it possible there was a mistake with the AP score? My son is in the top 1% in his class. His classmates got much better results in this test even those who didn’t do that well in class. At the same time my son got 3 on Euro History without even taking this class. His teacher was sure he would get one of the highest scores in his class. Is it possible to find out why the score is so low? Is it possible to re-take this test?
Thanks

@verycrazymom, there is probably no mistake. A high grade in the class doesn’t necessarily guarantee you a high AP score. he can retake it next year if he wants to.

It is possible. Some kids are just not that good at taking tests. My son was sure he did very good on this test and he was shocked to see the score. Thanks for your response.

I hated to do it but I couldn’t stand waiting anymore so I went ahead and called in…
World History- 5
European History-5
I knew I would get a 4-5 on European History, but I wouldn’t have been shocked if I had gotten a 2 on World (i BOMBED the trade essay)! I’m so relieved right now, and thankful. Add this to my 5 in HGAP from last year and I’m on my way to having a pretty good stack of AP courses  I know I’m going to have a harder time with my 5 “streak” when I’m taking the harder AP courses in the next two years, so I’m glad to at least get the scores I wanted on these…
Having said that, I think I saw a statistic this year saying that the World exam had the lowest number of 5s? That wouldn’t surprise me, at all, based on how I felt about the exam… I know I just barely brushed by with one…

Ap world history - bad

Hi sorry for not reading previous posts but i got an ap score and did much lower than what I expected. What should I do if I want them to look at it again for mistakes?

my results were weird, im not sure how i feel about them. i got a 5 in aplang and a 5 in apush, but a 4 in stat. i am like waaaaay better at math than i am in english and for sure in history though so i was disappointed. but i thought for sure i bombed english and history it was weird i feel like they mixed up my scores with some other kid haha

I feel like that might have happened to me (in a bad way)

maybe you’re the other kid hahaha

Haha naw I took world does anyone know the answer to my question D:

I sent in a letter to request a rescore for AP Bio because I received a 2 when I felt that I should have gotten a 5. I think they messed something up.

You can spend $25 for them to re-score the multiple choice by hand. You can also order the free-response booklet to make sure they didn’t lose it for another $7.
