2012 AP Test Results Thread

Chemistry: 4
U.S.History: 5
English Lang. : 3

Really happy about Chem. and APUSH, but not about English. I thought the exam was easy, and my teacher prepped us really well. I am sending a restore request for it.

AP World History: 5
AP Latin Vergil: 4 (I was praying to get a 4, a 5 was beyond my means uvu)
AP Chemistry: 5 (Uncertain if I’d get a 5 either but yay!)
AP Calculus AB: 5

Overall I’m quite happy. c:

Chemistry - 5
Calc AB - 5

So happy about chem! And calc too since I did most of my prep on my own lol

Physics B - 5
Biology - 5

:D

Geez! For all of you that got a 4 or 5 on AP chemistry I’m so jealous because the class was particularly difficult for me even though I got an A in the class. I studied a lot and just got a 3.

Chemistry-5
Physics C Mech-5
Physics C E&M-5
Statistics-5
Biology-5
Macro-5
Micro-5
Computer Science-5

I got really lucky this year, I didn’t expect to do this well especially in Biology (i suck at memorization).

Sagsabzi, it means your score was delayed due to some reason. Could be really late testing, they may have lost some part of your exam; just call them and find out

5 - Biology
5 - Physics: Mech
5 - Physics: E&M
5 - US Govt
4 - Microeconomics
4 - Macroeconomics

I’m satisfied with my scores, considering I didn’t do any preparation for the tests except for biology. And I’m satisfied with my AP science triple crown (chemistry I took last year)

I took a grand total of 21 tests, and just received 18 of them from this past year.

I am glad to report that I only got one 3, and then a few 4’s, with a majority of 5’s!

Psychology: 5
Environmental Science: 4

Both were self-study, as I was a freshman and no APs are offered for freshmen at my school. I’m happy with these, but I do wish they were both 5’s. Only because I didn’t study at all other than two hours on the night before the tests. Oh well, I’m going to take at least 9 or 10 tests next year, and I hope to get all 5’s. (:

AP US History- 5
AP Chemistry- 5
AP French Lang- 4

I was totally shocked with my 5 in History! I suck at memorizing events in order and specific places/ people. I used AMSCO and 5 Steps to a 5 to study… like the weekend before. I crammed so much. My teacher wasn’t that good so a lot of preparation fell on the students and their motivation to want to get a high score on the test. It was literally a miracle!

I kind of expected a 5 in Chemistry since I studied really hard in class for tests and focused on labs. I was a little worried about the FRQ because I blanked on a few parts but I thought I did very well on the MC. A couple days before, I used 5 Steps to a 5: 500 AP Chemistry Questions to Know by Test Day and it helped a lot for review. I skipped around sections and did the problems. It also comes with full explanations in the back. Yay!

French was hard because I suck at speaking! But I think my writing, listening, and MC made up for my score. I think it also helped that it was a new test, with the curve and all. Very happy with a 4!

AP Physics B - 5
AP Calc AB - 5

Wasn’t too worried; that’s what I was expecting.

congrats to everyone, your scores are amazing!

Physics B - 5
Stat - 5
Language and Comp - 5
US History - 5
Psychology (self-study) - 5

I’m a junior btw. Definitely not looking forward to the new French AP next year.

Physics B- 5
United States History- 5
Calc BC- 5
Calc AB subscore- 5
Lang- 5
Psychology- 5
Spanish Language- 5 (non-native speaker)

Last year:
Biology- 5
European History- 5

Couldn’t believe the Spanish score, but I’m happy the hard work paid off! National AP Scholar!

U.S. History 5
Eng Lang/Comp 5
Psychology 3
Spanish Lang 4
Statistics 3
I have an explanation for my sucky psych and stats scores, LOL. I was sick all throughout May (this always happens. Every year. ALWAYS happens).
LOL psychology. I didn’t open my prep book until the night before the exam. Haha.
I don’t know why I did so poorly on my stats exam. :frowning: I studied A LOT… but I’m not a math person, so I guess it was never meant to be. le sigh
I’m really surprised I did well on Spanish though. I felt like crap on test day; I almost passed out on my desk during the exam.

are these good scores for a freshman? i know that i’m supposed to take AP World, but stupid school denied me because I was not in IB. Instead I took 3 APs online.
AP Micro-4
AP Macro-3
AP Env-4
I know my Macro score isn’t that good, so I am most likely gonna retake it the following year. Also, for the AP Scholar awards when are we to get them, and if we reach National AP Scholar, do we also get the other AP awards below it or only National AP Scholar? Thanks!

to Emily556, that is a crazy amount of APs done. Job well done!

^its not impressive how many APs you take, its how many you need and if you do well on those. For example, you will never need human geo credit because almost no college requires it, in fact there’s no class called human geography in college. So even if you did pass that one, it wouldn’t matter because that credit is useless. Dont take the exams you really don’t need, that’s why you should research into your desired major and note the requirements, credit transfer, etc.

Last year’s scores:
AP US History 5
AP Biology 5
This year:
AP Chem 5
AP Calc bC 5
AB subscore 5
:)

Bio, WH and Psych were all 5’s, and those were the only APs I took this year. I had called earlier to get my score, but I just got my actual report on paper in the mail today. LOL. It turns out that I spelled my name incorrectly so I have to fix it now. xD

Well at least I messed up on my name, not the actual exam. x-o
