2012 Architecture Acceptances

Congrats Lemonjuice! You could be pragmatic and choose the one that offers you the best aid. Did you visit all of them? Which one made you feel at home? Is climate a consideration? IMHO the weather in Lynchburg is miserable. What do YOU want? There’s life outside of architecture, too. Would the campus support those needs?

I’m pretty conflicted at this point. I was almost sure that I was going to Notre Dame when I got the acceptance letter. It was probably my favorite school and had the best atmosphere. However, its architecture program is extremley classical and not as well ranked as other schools. I fear that it could hurt me in the long run. As for climate, USC is always a great option  It has an architecture program that I really like a lot. Virginia tech is the closest to home and probably the best architecture program I am looking at. It is also the cheapest option. However, I wonder if I would fit into that community? I think I’ve narrowed it down to those three. Syracuse and UMD are most likely off the list!

I’ll be attending New Jersey Institute of Technology in fall 2012.

I’m attending Carnegie Mellon University this fall! Could not be happier. :)

D will attend Architectural Association School of Architecture (the AA)-- in London.

Will be attending USC this upcoming fall for Architecture. I am very thankful to become part of the rich tradition.

Attending USC architecture this fall! I am so grateful! USC has been my first choice ever since I decided to major in architecture. :)

Son just got accepted into architecture at Penn State and NC State

Waiting on V Tech, Carnegie Mellon, Rice and Auburn

He’s always wanted to go to NC State and will most likely attend there.

Accepted to: UTA, Penn State, Pratt and UMiami.
Applied: Rice, CMU (deffered), UCLA, USC, Dartmouth and Syracuse

Stats:
SAT 2000 TOEFL 101 GPA: our school does not have GPA. Class rank: 25%
Several awards winner in Piano(national), book prices, Scholastic Art(Silver Key), Science Olympiad(State Silver)

Did anyone apply for AA or know when the results will be out?

Hi!
I am an international student interested in design. I have got offers from the following… Pratt, UCLA, USC, CCA, SAIC, Parsons (Awaiting two more results)
Though I am leaning towards Architecture, I want the foundation year to give me the possibilities of exploring other design avenues.
What I need to know is

  1. Which amongst these would be the best choice considering that I would like to explore other design fields.
  2. Which of these would be the best architectural programme.
    Looking forward to your responses.
    Thanks

So I got into UVA and Notre Dame and Im planning to study Architecture and sustainability. Which should I choose? I know ND is classical but its so good and it offers a whole year in Rome and a minor in Sustainability. I also applied to WashU and Upenn but I don’t know if I’ll get in.
