@thumper99
oh my application package wasn’t complete until jan23 because i had to re-send my gre scores … we will see …

@thumper

their office number is 6172531712, i dont know the officer’s name tho

Gah the wait is agonizing… I feel as though I’m on the cusp for a few schools. I’m still waiting to hear back from places others have been both invited for interview and rejected (UCSD & UPenn).

I’m expecting a rejection from MIT BE and Columbia as they have sent out interviews but no rejections yet.

I’m not complaining about what I already have (accepted to Duke and interview at JHU) but I just wish they would tell me my status, for better or worse. Anyone else feel this way?

Have anyone known about the time of sending rejection from MIT EECS and UT Austin ECE? I got nothing yet. However, got offers from a couple of good schools outside USA.

@thumper99:
The status showing ‘in review’ is really agonizing! I like to see ‘NO/YES’ on my status!! The recent days are very painful!!!

@thumper99: urgh… I feel the same. at least you have good place to go already. I still haven’t heard from anywhere else beside UCI and Rice (one acceptance w/o funding and one rejection, which are not really good at all). I emailed the coordinator from UMich yesterday and she replied that applications are still in review.

don’t really know what will happen, but I start to losing hope. pretty much all the schools I applied to have started sending out invitation/rejection, and their graduate recruitment dates are coming up in March. I still haven’t heard anything yet, so I don’t know if it’s a good sign or bad sign. people said no news is good news, but I’m just worried I will receive a bunch of rejection letter at once :(.

Has anyone heard from MIT math ?

Anyone know anything about aero? It looks like UMich sent out a couple of invites to their open house. Does that mean that anyone without an invite isnt in? Also, havent heard a peep from MIT yet. GATech is slowly sending out letters and invites to their open houses as far as i know.

So this is for all the Bioengineering applicants:
It seems like columbia has sent interview invitations out, would it be possible to know when you guys heard from them and when their open house is? It;s one of my top choices and I haven’t heard back… hoping I still have a chance! THANKS.

i didnt apply to columbia, but i heard if you call them they will tell you if you have interview or not. so gl

@orchdork MIT hasn’t sent out anything yet for aero as far as I know. Georgia Tech is still sending out decisions and Cal Tech just started sending out acceptances as well. I don’t know anything about Michigan since I didn’t apply there. Hope that helps.

Has anyone heard from UCLA or Columbia for ChE?? These are supposed to be my safeties and I STILL have not heard from them!! Columbia says they aren’t sending out decisions until end of February to end of April… seems like a LONG span of time…

Has anyone heard from UMICH Applied Physics. I saw someone w/ a reject on GradCafe, but I haven’t heard anything yet.

I met jparity at the recent Washington University in St. Louis BioE weekend. It was a really fun recruitment weekend, and the program was even nicer than I hoped.
I sent in my official acceptance.

@jparity: nice meeting you! Best of luck with your decision! Drop me a note if you end up at Wash U. Maybe my spot at UW will trickle down? Hope so!

@sysbio+jparity: I know there’s another recruitment coming up in March, did you guys hear anything about that during your recruitment weekend? also how many people did they invite for the recruitment, and did they mention how many they are going to invite for the next one? I just wanna know cuz they haven’t sent anything to me yet, and I hope they will call me for the next recruitment. thanks.

Got into Stanford EE! (but MS only)

Ehh, that’s close enough for me. Wasn’t expecting a whole lot since I only started doing research a few months before I sent in grad school applications.

Hey guys!

I applied to the following in BME:
Caltech
Duke
Northwestern
Johns Hopkins
USC
UFL
UMich

I was wondering if anyone’s heard from these BME departments…

I am getting anxious because I haven’t heard from any of them.

@Musikalgeak: I applied to Duke and UMich, and I haven’t heard anything from them either. I believe Duke had the first interview round already, and I think they will have another one in March. UMich will have recruitment in March from what I know.

as for CalTech, I believe they’ve done with their invitation, so if you haven’t heard back from them by now, it’s probably a negative. JHU also sent out invitation 2 weeks ago I think.

Accepted:
Stanford MSEE
Princeton EE M. Eng.

Still waiting:
UT Austin MS ECE
Berkeley MEng EECS
Cornell MEng ECE
UCLA MS EE

just got an email from WUSTL saying my admission decision will be available on Feb 25…urgh…this is killing me!

Any of you BMW’s heard anything about Carnegie Mellon or U Pitt? Nothing on grad cafe yet.
